Western Kings Rugby Club, based in Lwandle, is excited to host our first pre-season training on 12 January 2026!

We invite all new and existing players to come train, grow, and be part of the Kings family. This season is extra special as we launch our first-ever girls’ rugby team 💪👑

Calling all females who are interested in rugby — whether you’ve played before or you’re completely new to the game — this is your chance to be part of something powerful from the beginning.

We have been invited by Dream hunters SA, to participate in one of their build-up games, preparing for their tour to Namibia. Our u/19 will be playing against DISA academy XV. Lets go out and support the "kids of the soil".

Well done to our u/16s and u/20 for a successful weekend. This weekend we managed to travel with 50 junior players to Khayelitsha, which was the biggest squad we ever traveled with. Thanks to our management for making this possible. Not the results we wanted but definitely a step in the right direction. Both our junior teams secured 3rd place at the iKamvalethu sports development program, thanks to the organisers and sponsors for a fruitful day. Last but not least Feel free to catch the games on Supersport schools.

Join us this coming weekend as our u/16 and u/20s head off to Khayelitsha to honour their invite at the Ikamvalethu sports development program. The tournament will be taking place on the 8th of September 2024. Please find fixure times bellow. If you wont be able to make it the field, feel free and watch the tournament on Supersports schools on DSTV.

To a action filled weekend. Our TEDDY BEARS N.C. U/15s representing us at Lwandle this coming weekend (Saturday, 7th). All the best ladies do break a leg.

Tomorrow, Saturday 07 September 2024 Teddies Under 15 will face Celtics in Development Tournament final at Lwandle Sport Complex at 10h30. Our juniors are closer to winning the first trophy for the team.

Will Imitha, Analo, Sambe, Snowy and Noyo use the senior team experience to help the team clinch the prize? Well, to see let us all be at Lwandle to experience a high impact final of the initiative sponsored by the Jerry Bobi Youth Development Projects.

To a weekend filled with rugby. Today our u/16 head off to Ekhayelitsha to honor our invite by Kaytomas rugby club. The u/19 will be kicking off their part of the tournament on the 7th of July (Sunday). Kaytomas will be hosting their annual rugby tournament at khayelitsha rugby stadium. We are looking forward to a eventful weekend. All the best to our lions. 🦁❤🏉

To our rugby community at large. Please do allow me the opportunity to congratulate Sinethemba Snera Gwaza, who has been selected to be part of the touring SA dream hunters rugby squad. The 28 man squad will be touring to Namibia on the 28th of July, the Squad will be tested; playing back to back competitive games at the Namibia youth invitational tournamen which will be taking place from the 1st - 7th of July 2024. Sinethemba is seeking help to make it possible for him to travel to Namibia on the 28th of June. He needs to raise R1000 for transport (which is mandetory) and has been given donation form worth R2000 which will be going towards accommodation and other touring costs. Please find supporting documents bellow of the touring details. Your support is highly appreciated no money is too small. Thank you.
