How often do you clean your racing loft during pigeon season?
Every day during the racing season, in the off season every second day, albeit perches are cleaned every day, first thing in the morning.

Does your wife know how much money you spend on pigeons every month?
No, but we do manage our finances independently, so it is not an issue. Racing pigeons and all that goes with that, is not cheap. I do not enquire as to how she spends her money either.

Do you wear a specific lab/pigeon coat?
No, that is for the older fanciers (lol)

What is in your pigeon coat’ pocket?
Do not wear a jacket.

Has your cellphone ever fallen into the pigeons' drinking water?
No, have however dropped it in the toilet twice!

Do you have a ritual on the day the pigeons come home? Do you for example perform the Haka or something similar? Maybe a lucky meal or drink?
On race day; the lofts are thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed. The surrounding yard area around the lofts is also cleaned, no washing or stuff lying around.

Do you have a lucky charm related to your pigeons?
Yes, Ringo, my dog, left for doggy heaven December 2014, he is my lucky charm.

What superstitions do you have on race day?
None really, I understand I cannot win every race, so accept the outcome, good or bad, and come back stronger the next week.
