🇸🇴🇺🇸 When Somali culture reaches the world!

This is Jacob Frey, the Mayor of Minneapolis, joining the Somali community in a traditional Somali dance. 🇸🇴🔥

If the mayor of a major American city can join Somalis and show respect for their culture, it shows how far Somali culture and community influence have reached.

The Enemy of My Enemy Is My Friend

Once, this young man was seen as an enemy of Black Africans, constantly attacking Black people and their identity. Then he stopped.

Later, another man came and continued the same fight against him.

Now, the two who once stood on opposite sides are confronting each other.

The lesson is simple: “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

Sometimes, yesterday’s enemy can become today’s unexpected ally when a greater threat appears.

WHY ARE THE LEADERS OF “MARCH AND MARCH” WHO ATTACK FOREIGNERS NOT ARRESTED?

President Cyril Ramaphosa admitted that the current crises are a flaw in South Africa.

I have seen many people who are suspicious of Islam. When I say that Islam is spreading in South Africa, they completely deny it. But they don’t realize that Muslims are already part of South Africa’s political and educational institutions. For example, the Minister of Education is a Muslim. This is what he looks like. What do you expect from the Minister of Education of South Africa?

Statement

Black South Africans are still struggling with the legacy of colonialism. Although the country gained independence, inequality in land, housing, employment, education, and basic services shows that the effects of colonialism have not completely disappeared.

They have little access to land.
They lack adequate housing.
High unemployment.
Poor-quality education.
Lack of proper sanitation.
Limited electricity.
Lack of reliable water.

They are the largest population group in the country, yet they continue to face high levels of violence and deaths, including people killing one another.

1. Many of them have been influenced by Western LGBTQ+ culture.
2. Guns have been widely available, contributing to violence and killings; some argue that this serves to keep the population divided and vulnerable.
3. A large majority of the land is still owned by a relatively small white minority.

🇿🇦 A MESSAGE FROM MBALULA — SOMALI MUSLIMS ARE PART OF SOUTH AFRICA TOO

Mbalula’s message has sparked an important discussion about South Africa’s diverse communities.

Somali Muslims, alongside Indian, Bangladeshi, Cape Malay and Black South African Muslims, are part of the country’s Muslim community. They live, work, study and contribute to South African society.

South Africa is a country of different cultures and faiths. Respect Muslims, respect Christians, and respect every community.

🇸🇴🇿🇦 Somali Muslims are part of South Africa too. Their presence and contribution matter.

Different faiths. One nation. One South Africa.
