My back has definitely been shouting at me this week 😅

With scoliosis and lower back arthritis, I have to move differently, but not stop moving. Today’s gentle Reformer session was such a reminder that the right movement can still feel incredibly good.

These exercises were done slowly, carefully, and with correct form. If you struggle with back pain or an “angry” back, please don’t lose hope. Your body isn’t broken. it just needs a smarter approach.

What does being the “best version” of yourself really mean in midlife?

It’s not about chasing perfection, shrinking yourself, or trying to look 25 again.

International Pilates Day reminds us that Pilates is so much more than physical exercise.

A recent observational study by Guidotti and colleagues found that just one Pilates class per week over three months led to:

• Reduced anxiety
• Reduced depression
• Lower stress levels

Participants also reported being better able to mentally “step away” from daily pressure and overwhelm.
