On Sunday past we took part in a five aside tournament at Fives Futbol Arena Century City hosted by Sugar.

A fun day out and made it all the way to the final where we beat Avengers 2-0 to be crowned Champions!

We take on bottom of the log tonight at Fives Futbol. One Objective, GOALS!!! And 3 points.

Last week we beat BSD in a tough encounter.

RocketX 5 - 3 BSD

Game was leveled at 2 a piece with just 7 minutes remaining. Before Cottle took us a goal up and from there on we kept firing with Juta scoring another 2 to take us 5-2 up. Before the final whistle BSD pulled one back but not enough to catch up.

We continue our unbeaten run in the league and go 3 points behind log leaders Jordi B with a game in hand.

Playing with purpose!

Boys stepped up and displayed flames lastnight when they walked all over Just Our Style by playing with purpose.

RocketX 8 - 2 Just Our Style

We had full control of the game from the start and going into halftime being 3-0 up. We came out second half and continued to frustrate the opponents, this allowing us to get 5 more goals. In the dying minutes of the game Our opponents pulled one back by scoring a power play goal, so close to obtaining that 2nd cleansheet in 2 consecutive games!

We came with a purpose to score goals, and that is exactly what we achieved.

We go again next week as we look to maintain our momentum into the start of the season.

We return to fives tonight after a bye lastweek. A tough game to return to, however we are ready to bag all 3 points.

Update!

Last week Wednesday we took on the young BSD reserve team and what an opening game to season 3 it was.

RocketX 8-0 BSD Reserves

We took full control of the game from the first whistle and displayed our experience against an ever hard running BSD Reserves team.

Victorious with a cleansheet at the end, left a sweet taste in our mouth.

We have no fixture this evening as the team we suppose to play pulled out of the competition. A nice break for the lads and we go again next week.

The Champions are back!!!

We are excited to get going, with some interesting additions to the team. Coming off the back of a 5 league title in a row, we want to uphold the momentum and bag another.

This time around, the league format has changed.
8 team round Robin
Quarter final
Semi final
Final

Our objective is to get into that final, from there on its all to play for!

Flashback Wednesday!

Last week we completed our 5th league season at Fives Futbol Arena Century City and with that a 5th league title in a row!!!

RocketX 5 - 3 BSD
RocketX 5 - 1 Moemfie

Both games were played with a purpose of securing the title. After our victory against BSD, the trophy was in the bag. We then went up against Moemfie as champions and knowing that all we need to do is maintain our level and still go out for the W.

Boys were in joyous moods after the final game as we were crowned Champs once again. 5 times!!!! Thus celebrations were in order and a great mood in the camp.

Before all celebrations took place, we had a moment of silence to honor the life of our friend Maurice Voges who lost his life to cancer. We pray strength to the family in this time of mourning and may his dear soul rest in peace.

With the 5th season out the way, we now look forward to the 6th and look to defend our title once again.

Big things are happening for the team and we hope you can jump on this journey with us!

Tournament Winners!

It was a successful day out in the rain at Sunningdale Fives Courts as we took up the challenge to be crowned Champions of the Vault Markets Fives tournament. This tournament was also for a good course and fundraiser for Cameron as he will be going on trial in Thailand in the next few months.

Boys started the tournament off slow but eventually found rhythm and ended off in the final which we won 3-1.

Champions indeed and awarded prize money of R15 000 sponsored by Vault Markets.
