Did I mention our babies started "big school" this month?๐ From having a full-time nanny for four years at home to having these kids running around wild outside the house was a decision that took me a year to make.๐ My friend and her husband Mohamed had to tell me many feel-good stories to convince me to set these kids free.๐คญ Thank you, Fahima; they are learning more than just attitude from Youtube now.๐

It's the inner glow-up for me.๐ You realise later that it was 10% about how you looked and 90% about how you felt. But the sad reality is you only realise How bad you felt once you start taking steps to feel better. That first step and consistently taking another step, no matter how small, is crucial. One can't just exist, and hope for better days or for someone else to change. Imagine! Life is short.๐๐ธ

My teenager is doing so much better!๐ฅบโค We love our morning walks at the beach. It's been a week! This morning was slightly chaotic taking the babies with us, but it was still fun!โค

Hellooooooo!!!! Omw, I was so physically and mentally sick the past two weeks I can't even describe to you how I felt!๐ฅบ Today was the first time in almost two weeks that I felt like myself again. I had to go to court today to finalise a divorce so I was forced to put up a brave face and face the world. After Court I forced myself to go to the gym tonight and I thought I'd start with a mini leg day! And it was great!!!๐ We've been going through the most with our teenager and I think that on top of my flu just hit me real hard! So glad I decided to get my ass up! Sometimes you really just need to GET UP! ๐ช

I think the photo on the right was Aug 2020. Anyway, I never believed when people told me that it takes 21 days to break a habit.
But I tried it anyway. In December 2020, when I decided that enough was enough, because I didn't even feel like taking part in society anymore, feeling so unhappy, anxious, and dissatisfied with myself, overweight, out of breath for no reason, basically fighting with everyone around me, I decided to create my Own 21-day challenge. Just a little thing I wrote myself, things I felt I needed to do or not do every day to start living a healthier life and lose weight while I am at it. In this 21 day challenge was something like more water, 50 squats per day, daily walk, play with your kids or something.
Anyway, those 21 days changed the trajectory of my life, because in those 21 days, I broke terrible habits that I had all my life! 21 days became 3 months, became a year, and here I am, never happier in my life!๐
But of course, Joan Excuses will say it was just about the body (๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ). Meanwhile, I have literally saved myself, my marriage, and my family by just taking better care of myself (y'all, I was a sad little person to live with in the right pic, I don't even know how my husband didn't show me the exit.๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ)
