FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Cape Town Pro Event Owner, Bianca Burt, Issues Firm Statement on Sportsmanship & Respect in the Line-Up
Cape Town, South Africa. The Cape Town Pro Bodyboarding Event has issued a strong and definitive stance regarding competitive integrity and sportsmanship within the wave-riding community.
Event Owner, Bianca Burt, states:
“I will not support any bodyboarders dropping in on competitions. This is a bad taste of spirit to fellow wave riders.”
In line with this principle, the Cape Town Pro confirms that any competitor entered into the event who is caught dropping in on another rider during surfing or bodyboarding competitions will be disqualified from participating at our annual event.
This policy reinforces the event’s commitment to:
• Fair competition
• Mutual respect between athletes
• Preserving the culture and integrity of the sport
The Cape Town Pro is built on passion, respect, and the spirit of competition. With this stance, the event continues to champion not only performance but character, respect, and honorable wave-riding.
