Ask your dad if he remembers Zini. 🌿

Zini was a familiar name in South African cycling back in the early 80s. Then it went quiet for a long time.

It’s back, and this time it’s for you. The Z29 Trail comes in Jungle Green with 29-inch wheels, a 120 mm air fork and Shimano hydraulic discs. It’s enough bike to learn the trails on, and still enough when you get good.

Find your nearest Zini dealer and take one out. 🇿🇦

You get a new bike today. Where's the first ride? 😎

🟧 Western Cape: Tokai or Contermanskloof?
🟨 Gauteng: Groenkloof or Klipriviersberg?
🟩 KZN: Giba Gorge or Karkloof?

Or straight around the block because waiting for the weekend is too much to ask?

This is what being a kid is supposed to feel like. 🌿

Helmet on, trail ahead, and no interest in going home yet. Nobody has a plan. There's mud on the shoes, and the world feels a lot bigger once there's a bike underneath you.

So let them get dirty and let them ride until they're hungry. 😜

Coffee's on us this weekend ☕️

Post a photo of you, your Zini and your coffee, tag , and we'll pay for your cuppa. Doesn't matter if you rode 50km or 500m to get there. We aren’t your Strava Mate 😉; you’ll still get the kudos from us.

One coffee per person, 1 to 4 October. T&Cs and E&OE apply.

Spotted in Emmarentia this Heritage Day 🇿🇦🚲

A little sunshine, a little dirt and the Z29 Elite out where it belongs.

How did you spend yours?

Braai going? Trail riding? Family day? Or a serious do-absolutely-nothing public holiday? 😌

And more importantly, what are you DOING this weekend? We think hitting the trails is on the cards for a lekker warm weekend all round SA.

Get onto those trails with the 2026 Z29 Elite. Zini’s trail-ready hardtail, built around a 6061 aluminium frame, 120mm air fork and 1 x 12 drivetrain.

Meet the Z29 Rise.

The kind of bike that can do the after school fun, the weekend trail and that “let’s just go see where this road goes” mission without making a whole production out of it.

Simple. Capable. And just lekker to ride.

Need we say more? 🌿

Small bikes. BIG business. 😂

To us it might be a lap around the garden. To them, they’re halfway across South Africa, there’s a jump coming up and apparently nobody is allowed to tell them it’s time for supper.

Every great adventure needs a trusty sidekick. 💙

The one that waits by the door. Gets dropped on the grass. Races the neighbours. Carries you to your best friend’s house and somehow turns the end of the road into somewhere worth exploring.

Childhood looks better on two wheels.

Cape Town has a funny way of making you want to keep going.

One minute you’re cruising through Tokai, next minute you’re climbing higher for just one more view. ⛰️🇿🇦

That’s Z29 Elite territory.

Homegrown, capable and made for riders who are ready to explore a little further, climb a little higher and see what’s around the next bend.

The Z29 Elite. Made here. Ready for more.

Remember when your bike was your whole world?

It took you to your mate’s house, around the block seventeen times, down roads you probably weren’t supposed to be on, and home when the streetlights came on. 🚲☀️

Some things deserve a comeback story, this is ours.
