It continues to be an honor to be part of Comcast Sportstech's class of 2024.
The 2024 Comcast SportsTech program concludes this week with capstone presentations at the Rally Innovation Conference in Indianapolis. Over the past six months, the program's fourth class, comprising 28 entrepreneurs from 10 companies, has achieved 15 pilots, partnerships, and commercial deals. These accomplishments were made possible through engagements with SportsTech’s partner consortium, which includes NBC Sports, NASCAR, PGA TOUR, Premier League, USA Cycling, and the newly added University of Notre Dame.
Here are some highlights from the 2024 class of Comcast SportsTech:
Aquimo piloted an Olympics-themed mobile game for Comcast employees, which drew engagement from 60% of those with eligible devices.
Dizplai extended its partnership with Sky Sports and will pilot interactive broadcast features with NASCAR and NBC Local.
Fobi AI is powering mobile wallet credentialing for the Philadelphia Flyers Community Caravan program in partnership with Comcast Spectacor.
Kymirahq’s infrared-emitting garments – which promote passive recovery – are being worn by Philadelphia Flyers players while off-ice and will eventually also be used by Flyers front- and back-office employees.
Mantis•AI AI-powered content management, creation and distribution capabilities were proof-of-concept tested by Sky and are now being studied by the NBC Local news and sports production teams in the Bay Area.
mobii’s Microblock Technology is being proof-of-concept tested by Peacock TV and will soon do the same with NBC RSNs in remote production environments.
Plantiga will soon meet with Premier League clubs and FIFA in partnership with the former’s performance team – and has pilots forthcoming with University of Notre Dame and NASCAR.
StellarAlgo secured two pilots with the Premier League, its clubs and its broadcast partners to develop fan insights.
ZATAP will pilot activations linking physical golf gear to a virtual clubhouse experience for the more than 10,000 golf courses that use NBC GOLF’s platforms (GolfNow, GolfPass).
Zoomph is negotiating an extension of its partnerships with Xfinity, which would culminate in a platform for tracking the ROI of Xfinity’s sponsorship investments.
