This passed Saturday was the 2nd round of the Boland Regionals championship hosted by 🏁 Weskus Oval Track 🏁 situated between Saldanha and Vredenburg.

16 x 1660s entered the event which resulted in another very fast paced night of racing, and at the end of the night Nigel finished the Finals in 2nd place behind the ZA1 national champion.
But had only accumulated enough points throughout the event to be on the 3rd place step of the podium.

This past weekend things finally went Nigel's way as he and the team stepped onto the number 1 step of the podium.

Perseverance, dedication, hard work and support from all involved with this team has finally paid off.

Leon's Outboard Repairs

Shawn Cope and his family of Leon's Outboard Repairs situated in Goodwood have been one of the longest standing supportive organizations of Nigel's amateur racing career.
Their business name has been advertised on Nigel's race cars since he started oval track racing in 2011, as the family members are always willing to give a helping hand and provide one of their personal car trailers as sponsorship for the team to transport the Clio to and from race events.

PO Bodyworks

Tristan Bland and Paul Oosthuizen of PO Bodyworks situated in Goodwood has been involved with the team since March 2022 following an unfortunate accident which Nigel was involved in while still campaigning the golf in the 1660s class.

The gents have since then been supportive in helping keep our race cars' panels in the neatest possible representation throughout the rest of the golf's days and now with the Clio as well.
They are also always willing to provide a helping hand when it comes to race day preparational work.
