A huge congratulations to KhloΓ© on being awarded the Senior Victrix Ludorum Award for Swimming at school this morning πŸ†

Khloé, one of our Advanced Squad swimmers, was completely surprised when her name was called and we could not be prouder of her achievement. Her dedication, consistency and hard work in the pool continue to shine through both in training and in competition 🌊

Well done, KhloΓ©. This is such a special and well-deserved achievement πŸ‘

Public holidays = swimmer attendance down πŸ“‰
Coach effort = absolutely not down πŸ“ˆπŸ˜‚
Still up before the sun.
Still writing sets.
Still shouting splits.
Still bringing the vibe like it’s a full squad.
Because real coaching doesn’t change depending on numbers.
2 swimmers or 20 swimmers…
the commitment stays the same.
A screenshot of what coaching actually looks like. πŸ”₯

πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ Level 2 Regional Championships – Oudtshoorn
Our first Level 2 Regional Championships and our first time travelling away as a team… and what a weekend it turned out to be.
πŸ”₯ 164 races
⚑ 110 Personal Bests
πŸ† 12th out of 42 teams
The most exciting part for me as a coach? We were still PB’ing on the final day of a gruelling competition, showing that our swimmers peaked exactly when it mattered most.
We also swam our first relays as a team, and the results were incredible. The energy, team spirit and determination this group showed made me incredibly proud.

πŸ’™ Special mention – Khloe Weimers
After a freak accident the night before the gala and 9 stitches above her knee, Khloe still stepped up, raced her heart out and walked away with two gold medals. Incredible bravery and determination.
πŸ‘ A huge shoutout to Christiaan Basson, who swam 27 races (including relays) and PB’d in 26 of them, often PB’ing in both heats and finals.
One of my favourite moments of the weekend was the Boys U13–14 relay:
Matthew Millar β€’ Hanroux Pottas β€’ Sean Kondo β€’ Gomolemo Kele
The energy behind the blocks and the fight in the water showed exactly what this team is about.
Proud coach. Proud team. The future is exciting. πŸ’™πŸ”₯

Last night was a special one for our team πŸ’™
We officially handed out our Club Kit for Level 2 Champs β€” and you could feel the excitement in the air! Seeing our swimmers receive their kit is always a proud moment. It’s more than just wearing club colours… it’s wearing every tough set, every PB, and every lesson learned this season.
For many, this is months of hard work coming together. For some, it’s their very first Level 2 Champs. For others, it’s another step forward in their journey. But for all of them, it’s earned.
When they put that kit on, they don’t just represent themselves β€” they represent their teammates, their families, and the spirit of our club.
We are proud. We are ready.
Level 2 Champs β€” here we come! πŸ’₯πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈπŸŠβ€β™€οΈ

What a marathon gala this past Saturday! πŸ’™πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ

27 races for our little machine β€” and we PB’d in 24 of them!
Zero DQ’s. That speaks about focus, discipline and race maturity. I am incredibly proud.

A very special shout out to Zackery Ditcham πŸ₯‡
Gold in his age group in:

100m Breaststroke
50m Backstroke
Outstanding racing, Zackery. You stepped up and delivered when it mattered most.
Ruri Moletsane β€” my swimmer of the day ⭐
Top 10 in every single event in his age group. That consistency is not luck β€” that’s grit.
And in the relay… from 6th place to finishing 4th, just out of touching distance. That was heart. That was fight. That was a teammate who refused to give up.

Our little ones swam their first-ever relay races today and it was incredible to watch. They swam for each other β€” and that is what team culture is built on.

Relay results:

200m Mixed Relay – 9th place
200m Mixed Medley Relay – 7th place
200m Boys U/10 Relay – 4th place
And that Boys U/10 relay… wow.
3rd place time: 2:58.01
Our time: 2:59.78
That is just 1.77 seconds β€” a touch. A blink. That’s how close we are. And that should excite every single one of us because it shows what is coming.

A huge thank you to our amazing parents. Getting swimmers to races on time, supporting from the stands, and fueling properly makes a massive difference. Today I could see a huge improvement in how we fueled our swimmers β€” and the results speak for themselves.

This is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.
Proud coach moment. πŸ’™
