It was indeed a fun day Gardens Lawn Tennis Club
Yesterday was another epic day at GLTC. Our 2 ladies teams had a home game against Edgemead (one they won't forget). After the rain poured @ 14h00...the music was turned up, we put on our party gear for some Gees for our upcoming yearend function.
GLTC ladies were determined to finish the games. All jumped in to make this a reality, finishing by 21h00 with both teams pulling another big win... It was great games, lots of 3 setters, but we did it!!
Well done to our ladies, you are truly amazing.

We would like to thank all our members for their commitment towards GLTC for 2021, especially the Committee and Glen that dedicate their time so that all members can have a safe and comfortable place for tennis.
Our league players, you making us proud for your commitment on Saturdays and Thursdays to represent our club!
For those that could not attend our yearend function, it is always a special one even with the South Easter - that our Chairman, Paul de Swardt, make sure of! It is a time to get together as a community to honor our members performance during the year.

Congratulations to our B-group Winners at Top gun National Club champs. Yolandi, Storm, Andre and Lance. Beating our neighbour club in a epic mix finals!! Playing circumstances were not at its best, but we manged to pull it off with the 3rd set 10 point tie-breaker 12-10... Tension were high!! But Yolandi stayed strong whilst Andre do what he does best... Playing tennis. Well done to our team. Making us proud to be part of GLTC!!

On 6 March we said our final goodbyes to our Queeny, Hermien de Vries, our deerest and oldest member of GLTC.
She was the treasurer for more than 20 years and served as secretary for many years, so that we can have a lovely facility to do what we love best, playing tennis!
Hermien your devotion to our club will live with us and your story will be told for generations to come.
(RIP 16 June 1923 - 22 Dec 2020)
