Even though Nexus Football Academy had an off weekend from league matches, the work never stops.

This weekend, four of our boys attended trials at professional clubs, two with Cape Town City and two with Stellenbosch FC.

Opportunities like these are a reminder that the pathway is real for young players who are willing to work, stay disciplined, and trust the process.

At Nexus, we remain committed to creating pathways for young people through both football and education.

Our goal has always been bigger than just results on the field, it is about helping our players grow, develop, and access opportunities that can shape their futures.

We are proud of these boys for representing themselves, their families, and the academy with pride, and we wish them all the best on their journeys.

As an academy, we believe that development goes far beyond the football field. This week, we take a short break from training and matches to allow our players the opportunity to focus fully on the exams ahead.

Education will always remain a priority within our program. The same discipline, commitment, and preparation that is required to succeed in football is needed in the classroom as well. We encourage all our players to use this time wisely, study hard, and give their best effort academically.

The player appreciation picture we share today is a reminder that we are proud not only of the footballers our boys are becoming, but also of the young men they are growing into off the field.

To all our parents and supporters, thank you for continuing to walk this journey with us as we strive to develop not only better footballers, but responsible young men with strong futures ahead of them.

This weekend, we bid farewell to Zaid, a player who has spent the past three and a half years in our programme and has grown tremendously during his journey with us at Nexus Football Academy.

Over the past six months, Zaid has been part of an assessment and training programme with Cape Town City FC, and we are proud to announce that he has now been permanently selected to join the club.

We are incredibly proud of how far he has come and grateful to have played a role in his development. Zaid, we wish you nothing but success for the future.
We will continue to watch your journey closely and monitor your progress as the years go on.
