🔐 GETTING IN
There's security on the Plaisir gate. Show them the Torpedo logo on your phone.
⏰ TIMES
Registration: 06:30–09:00 at the Plaisir Food Barn
Long Course: 08:30
Short Course: 08:45
Kids Sprint: 09:45
Be at the start 15 minutes before your gun.
🎒 COMPULSORY KIT
You bring: shoes and a whistle (checked at registration)
We give you: swim cap, race vest and your race number (written on your hand)
🧭 ROUTE MARKINGS
🟡 Long Course: yellow arrows
🟠 Short Course: orange arrows
🟢 Kids Sprint: green arrows
Every swim has a flag where you get in and a flag where you get out. Sight the line before you start swimming. There are lifeguards in the water at every swim.
👧 KIDS SPRINT
Please have an adult go round with every child. At the water there are three swim options: Dolphin 150m, Sea Horse 100m or Crab 50m. Let your kid pick the one that feels right and enjoy it together.
🍦 FUEL
Powerbar have an energy point with drinks midway through the Long Course. Revive are at the finish with hydration for all three races. And Popco ice creams for every young finisher!
📱 SOCIAL MEDIA COMPETITION
Post an Instagram Reel of your race experience and add as a collaborator. The Reel with the most views by midnight on Wednesday 30 September wins a proudly Saffer hamper 🇿🇦. Open to participants and supporters who are there to be part of the gees!
🧔 SWIMRUN ETIQUETTE
The Viking Beard prize is on, and be warned: the undefeated champion is back. And when you see our cameras, throw a 🤙!
🚨 THE ONE THAT MATTERS
Never start a swim you are not certain you can finish. If you need help at any point, blow your whistle and raise your arm and a lifeguard will come straight to you.
