Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it inhances their flexibility, strenght, coordination , and body awarness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improve. Doing yoga, children exercise , play , connect more deeply with inner self and develop an intimate relationship with the natural world around them . Yoga brings that inner light that all children have , to the surface.
Yoga at an early age encourages self- esteem with a physical activity that is noncompetitive , and fostering compassion and cooperation - instead of opposition - is a great gift to give to our children.
