We are so proud of our Grass Boots FC U7As who won League 1 of the CTTLFA Green Zone U7 Mini World Cup 2025 on 31 August - They played against Camps Bay U7-A in the final and won 3-1. Well done to all the teams that played and thanks to Meadowridge AFC for organising!

🌟 From Cape Town to Germany – Freddie Drew’s Incredible Journey! 🌍⚽

We’re bursting with pride watching Freddie Drew rise through the football ranks! 🙌

Freddie first laced up his boots at just six years old, playing for Grass Boots Football Club in Cape Town under the guidance of Coach Thurston. He spent two amazing years with us at U7 level, starting back in 2012 and even then, we knew he was something special. 💫

Now, at 17 years old, Freddie is making waves as a goalkeeper for Kickers Offenbach, a historic German club with a rich footballing tradition. Competing in the A-Junioren Bundesliga, the club is renowned for nurturing top talent and Freddie is one of their standout stars this season! 🇩🇪🧤

He’s just committed to staying with Kickers Offenbach for the 2025/2026 season, continuing his exciting journey in Europe.

We couldn’t be prouder of everything Freddie has achieved so far, and we just know there’s even more greatness ahead. 💛
