π August is Organ Donor Awareness Month.
This month, we honour the incredible gift of organ donation and celebrate the lives made possible through transplantation.
Our Western Cape Transplant Sports Association volunteers are living proof that life after transplant can be full of possibility, purpose and sport. πββοΈπ

Wrap-up from the Western Cape Transplant Sports Association team at Groote Schuur Hospital!
A huge thank you to our co-ordinator, Nadeema Madatt, and all the incredible volunteers who joined us between 09:00 and 12:00 today.
We had fantastic conversations with hospital staff, transplant recipients and visitors, sharing our stories of health, recovery and transplant sport.
We reached 15 newly interested members, of which were 4 transplant recipients, 1 person currently waiting for a transplant, and 1 donor.
It was a really positive day for transplant sport awareness and connecting with the GSH community.
