“Flowers do not compete, they just bloom.”
I’d like to give you a challenge for this week. Starting now, try not to compare yourself to ANYONE ELSE.
Pay attention to your thoughts. If you catch yourself comparing yourself to others, stop the thought in its tracks, acknowledge it and then immediately change the thought. If the comparison was negative, change it into a positive declaration. I am not, becomes I AM.
It’s not necessarily an easy challenge but then again change never is, especially changing mental thought patterns but the quicker you can catch yourself in negative thoughts the quicker you will be able to change them.
Forget about the other flowers and focus on your own for this week. Shed your wilting (negative) petals and allow new ones to grow.
I’m joining you with this one.
Let me know how it goes 🌺

Drink more water. The ongoing challenge I sometimes win but more often fail. If you’re also battling with this, here are some reasons why it’s worth the effort.
1. LIFE.
That should be the only reason we need but because I know you’re stubborn like me, here are some more...
2. Healthy skin
3. Prevents headaches
4. Weight loss
5. Healthy heart
6. Better mood
7. Increased metabolism
8. More energy
9. Better digestion
Now go out there and DRINK WATER my friends ☺️💦

Repeat after me:
My worth is not measured my by appearance. I am worthy of love. I am worthy of happiness. I am worthy of peace. I am worthy of wealth. I am worthy, I am worthy, I am worthy.
•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•
It’s hard not to obsess about our outer appearance when we live in a world that seems to place so much importance on it...but you know what...screw that! I personally don’t care how tall, or skinny, or curvy you are and neither should you.
Let’s let go of the superficial BS and continue to work on the things we can control and change. If you can’t change it, leave it. If you can and want to change it then work on it.
You’re amazing and you’ve got this!!

We ended 2020 feeling great after spending 4 incredible days surrounded by wildlife and nature at Colin’s Horseback Africa.
•
We meditated as the sun came up listening to all the different waking sounds of the Bushveld, a heard of horses stopped to curiously watch us as we went through our morning asana practice, we ate good food, laughed, relaxed, played with some beginners Acro Yoga balances and hiked to an historically rich cave. It was a wonderful way to end a highly stressful year.
•
Thank you all for trusting and joining me on this journey. I will see you at the next one 😊

Day 1 of our Yoga retreat starts on a very symbolic day in South Africa.
Reconciliation day.
A day we celebrate the change.
We celebrate a man who helped create this change.
A man that knew pain, anger and suffering, and a man that knew how to heal from it.
It’s easier to hold on to our beliefs, our past experiences, our habits, even if they cause us pain, anger and suffering.
Changing isn’t as easy as we’d like it to be.
Even if we know that change is needed and is what’s best for us. It’s easier to hold on and that’s what we often tend to do. We hold on to past experiences and therefore carry them into our present and our future. We carry them with us, clinging to the pain, anger and suffering they might have brought. And yet this “holding on” is what stops of from MOVING ON. It stops us from growing. From evolving. From changing.
This is something Mandela knew and understood.
And this is something I celebrate today.
In Yoga we learn about being attached to our ‘expectations’ and how this attachment can only cause us pain and suffering.
We learn to embrace life as it is in each moment and then move on from it. We learn that we always have the choice. How we chose to act or react to any situation is our choice. We learn to let go of attachments.
I am excited to be hosting day 1 of our Yoga retreat on this very important and symbolic day in South Africa as the practice of reconciliation, of letting go and allowing change is exactly the theme of this Yoga retreat.

We need to move away from the belief that a specific body type is required to practice Yoga.
We need to realise that the images we see on Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram do not depict Yoga.
You do not need to be flexible to do Yoga, you do not need to be skinny, you do not need to be young, you don't even need all your limbs to do Yoga.
Yoga is not about making pretty pictures. That's dance, or gymnastics, not Yoga.
All you need to practice Yoga, is a willingness and a curiosity. Willingness to sit with yourself. Willingness to look inwards and a willingness to accept every moment for what it is.
Yoga is so much more than the physical practice. In fact, Asana is only 1 of the 8 limbs of Yoga.
What is Yoga to you? What does it mean to you?
