Saturday 26th August we played Round 2 of the Singles League.
It unfortunately was another tough weekend for the teams. Everyone lost. We had to make some very late changes as our number 1 gent for the season Quinn was stuck at a tournament and our number 1 lady, Emily, was out sick.
This on top of our club champion, Rikki, sidelined for the entire season with possible torn cartilage in his wrist and regular first team players, Karl Furlong (ankle injury) and Edward Petersen (left to Claremont TC) out as well.
So this week we had a 3 players promoted to first team for the first time. Congratulations to Ruan, Luke and Joe.. :)
Awesome story.. Kyle finally had a dream come true of playing doubles with his son Luke and they managed to win it 10 - 8 in the breaker (scorecard attached incorrect).

Well done to our men's runner up Courtney. His first season and club champs at Plumstead and instantly making his mark at the club.
And our men's Champ Rikki. That makes it 9 titles in the last 11 years. 42 and only getting wiser.. :)

4 years ago we unfortunately lost 3 major players that made up our first team. The following year with very new and very young players replacing them, we got relegated on the very last day of the season. This team however never panicked.. They played more and worked harder.. And 2 years later that same side has finished top of league 3B.. :)
League 2, we are back... And better than ever! And we got some power houses waiting for you.. ;)
