to the third and final race of the Western Province XCO mountain bike series.

The race took place at Jakkalsvlei where riders battled amongst themselves over steep terrain which deemed more challenging due to the heavy rainfall which had left the track in a state. The race was sure to be a mud fest.

The mud, the steep climbs and cyclocross moments of the mud fest was sure to take a toll on the riders as riders had to tactically maneuver through the mud and try ride as conservatively as possible.

After a hard day out and each rider feeling as though they were fighting a different battle Damon Terblanche riding in Absolute Motion colors took the win in style after a relentless fight with the mud even after having snapped the chain a couple hundred meters before the line.

A huge congratulations also goes to Unathi Nxumalo on his second place after having battled with mud clogging his wheels and frame, nevertheless he dug it out and continued with his battle to take a step on the podium.

Well done gents on your rides!

The words of Zola Ngxakeni still inspire many to do better in their day to day lives as he continues to share his inspiring story on how he works towards a goal on a daily basis. His commitment and dedication to his art inspires the youth to grow with the same burning flame of determination Zola has within himself.

"I ride bikes because I love riding bikes, but most importantly to inspire the kids that are coming from the same circumstances I came from.

No hope, no vision, no drive, no goal, high crime and most importantly no purpose. The only thing we are exposed to is crime and selfish people. This is not a post that I want to get pity from. It's an awareness post. I worked so hard to get where I am at now and failed multiple times and there was a lot of criticism, doubts, regrets and jealously.

If you keep pushing and believing in your vision and goal nothing can stand in your way. "keep in mind that hard work can beat talent", if you know you are talented, acknowledge that but put the work in and stop saying I'm good at this. Those words can only take you so far.

I'm so grateful that I spent a great deal of time with my Zulu brothers during Sani, I always thought I had it hard or rather I knew much about life. I listened to their stories, and the vision they have for the future of the sport blew my mind and I was really greatful to have the chance to get that far with our conversation. I worked very hard to win Exxaro and my goals were really clear, but to hear the other guys reasons why they want to win was very eye opening for me.

Brothers, a goals without a vision or purpose is just an idea in your mind you'll fantasize the rest of your life. Be realistic and work your way to it daily."πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š

Strong and powerful words Zola. Truly inspired.πŸ’ͺ

This past weekend held one of the years most prestigious stage races the Sani2c .

This year's edition took many by surprise as many found that they had improved in their times in comparison to the previous year

Kusaselihle Ngidi and Luyanda Thobigunya riding for the Fairtree DP World Cannondale Racing approached the stage race with their best foot forward and were able to land themselves in a top 10 spot after over 9 hours in the saddle! A strong effort by the two gentlemen who show potential for a bright future in their racing careers.

"We are happy too see that our times have improved alot compared to last year and we are definitely happy with our performance", Said Kusaselihle.

Unathi Nxumalo and his partner Matt Scott riding for Absolute Motion / Pumpforpeace came had an incredible 3 days of racing despite there battles with mechanicals they still managed to maintain there 3rd place in the Young Guns category.

Well done to all on their fantastic performances this year at Sani2C!

Still in Green for the Toyota Specialized Bicycles team as Zola Ngxakeni and teammate Ntlantla Nonkasa maintain their gap to second and third place after the third stage and today's Time Trial of 47km.

Ongeziwa Tyapa and his teammate kusaselihle Ngidi riding for Fairtree DP World Cannondale Racing were lying second after the first and second stage but were rather unfortunate on the third stage as Ongeziwa fell slightly sick. With the little fuel he had left in his tank Ongeziwa managed to soldier forward with his teammate to finish the stage, where they were lying 4th in the Exxaro Category but after today's time trial, seemed to make a bit of a come back and now see themselves in a podium position in the Exxaro Category.πŸ’₯

Well done to all the teams on such good performances so far and good luck for the remaining stages!✊️

Things starting to look rather brutal at the front of the race for some of the riders and for others an opportunity to be taken to give it their all in order to bring home that Exxaro Jersey!

Zola Ngxakeni and his teammate Ntlantla Nonkasa riding for Toyota Specialized Bicycles have extended their lead and still hold onto the Exxaro jersey as they head into the third stage.

As for the two Gents from Exxaro mtb Academy, Hala Ndebele and Tlotlo Mohweledi Selala have faced alot of challenges in the race with mechanical problems on both the prologue and stage 1 which left them chasing on the second stage of the Cape Epic !

As for the Pumpforpeace
Team Unathi Nxumalo and Tumelo Makae have put in a good effort as they manage to make it over the longest stage of the Cape Epic with a GC time of 6 hours and 17 minutes!πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Cracker performances by the teams so far!
