OSC has a new chairman.

After 4 years Derek McMahon has decided to step aside as Chairman of the Olympic Sports Club.

Derek leaves a legacy behind; the club being in a solid financial position, the buildings and facilities in the best condition possible, including the installation of an inverter system.

Andrew Barends, our former Treasurer, has stepped in to fill the void left by Derek. Andrew is a CA, and has a vast amount of experience running several companies.

We look forward to Andrew’s tenure as Chairman.

Andrew has already seconded Brionne Beaumont-Thomas as the new Treasurer of the Olympic Sports Club. Brionne has broad experience in the financial world, and we have confidence in his ability to maintain the financial well-being of the club.

Brionne has undertaken to handle the annual audit on a pro bono basis.

The Club is blessed to have members of the calibre of Derek, Andrew and Brionne.

Ian Doveton, manager of the club, died last night after a short illness. Our sincere condolences to his family.
