🌟⚽ 20 Years of Belief, Mentorship, and Gratitude ⚽🌟

Twenty years ago, I had the privilege of recognizing the spark of talent in a young goalkeeper — Darren Keet. What began as belief in his potential grew into a journey of mentorship, guidance, and unwavering support of his professional career as a football player.

Looking back today, I feel immense gratitude and pride in seeing Darren achieve his ambitions — playing professionally in Europe and South Africa.

This journey was never just about football. It was about Darren’s resilience, sacrifice, and dedication to the game — and for me, the joy of witnessing his passion transform into reality. To have played a role in opening doors, guiding his steps, and standing alongside him through the highs and lows has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

🏆 Darren’s career is decorated with remarkable successes:

Nedbank Cup Winner in 2010 with Wits Fc

PSL Champion in 2017 with Bidvest Wits Fc

MTN 8 Winner in 2016 with Bidvest Wits Fc

Telkom KO Winner In 2017 with Bidvest Wits Fc

Nedbank Cup Winner in 2026 with Durban City Fc

🌍 Key Career Milestones:

Represented South Africa (U20 Amajita) at the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt

Represented South Africa (U23 Amaglug-glug)

Represented South Africa (Bafana Bafana) with 13 Senior National Team Caps

Played 5 seasons in Belgium with KV Kortrijk Fc and OH Leuven Fc

Reached the Belgium Cup Final in the 2011/2012 Season with KV Kortrijk Fc

🏅 Individual Awards:

KV Kortrijk Fc Player of the Season (2012/2013 Belgium Pro League

PSL Goalkeeper of the Season (2016/2017))

Darren has undoubtedly been one of the most prominent and successful South African goalkeepers to feature in a top-flight European league over the past 15 years. His consistency, professionalism, and impact abroad — particularly in Belgium — set him apart from South African Goalkeeper’s on the international stage.

Darren is not only a champion on the field, but also a loyal, humble, and reliable individual — deeply dedicated to his family and steadfast in his belief in himself.

I’m incredibly proud to call him not only my client, but my friend. As he steps into the next chapter of his journey, I look forward to seeing him prosper as a Coach and continue to inspire the next generation of talented football players.

Onwards and upwards, Darren — the best is yet to come! ⚽️

NEDBANK CUP FINAL 2026 ⚽️

Durban City Fc vs TS Galaxy Fc

All the best to Darren Keet for today's Cup Final...!

It is rare for a goalkeeper to headline a final, but Keet has forced his way into the conversation through sheer influence. The 36-year-old has been central to Durban City’s cup run, keeping three clean sheets in four matches and playing a decisive role in penalty shootouts. His composure and experience could prove invaluable if the final becomes a tense, low-scoring affair.

OH Leuven gained promotion to the Jupiler Pro League in August 2020 and Darren featured in goals in the first match of the new season on the 10 August 2020.

Following on from the arrival of two new Goalkeepers at OH Leuven, Darren found game time difficult to come by in the past two months and has decided to move forward with his playing career to seek out a new opportunity.
