Saturday morning i headed out to Killarney Race Track for a Supadrift demo which part of the Exreme Festival.

The guys and girls from Supadrift Western cape decided to showcase a lil bit of drifting to fans for the upcoming national drift event. Four of the drivers Danger Dan,Raymond, Noer and Bronnie came out and showed us thier "moves' and did they show the crowd something. They did their first demo leaving the crowds in awe and the air filled with tyre smoke. After the first demo when the drivers made their way back to the pits for tyre changing the crowds poured in to 'inspect' their cars and take some photos.

After a nice long cooldown session for the drivers and cars the second demo came up and we had invited the radio host from KFM among other people to tag a along for a su***de ride. All the passengers were very nervous as it was their first time being in a drift car, after strapping them into the seats we set them on the track. After coming back from their rides all the passengers had huge smiles on their faces and had an absolute blast. with the second demo over, the day came to an end.

This was an absolute blast of a day and it was only a demo. Be sure to head down to Killarney Race Track on the 29th and 30th of April to catch the Supadrift National. Its sure to be one action filled event.

Last week friday i picked up my camera for the first time in 2016 and what better to start off my year with some drifting.

Being the first drift practice of 2016 the drivers had some off time to upgrade or repair their cars and i was happy to see the guys didnt lose their drifting skills.The day started off the same way it always does for me, greeting all the drivers and scoping the cars as some drivers did some upgrades.

Once the drivers were prepped and ready to head out for some practice, they did not hold back in anyway and they were pushing their cars to limits which had me running around trying to get the perfect shots of the cars. The guys did not disappoint in anyway.

With Round 6 being the final round of the Supadrift Western Cape Regionals, arriving at Killarney Race Track in the morning i did my normal meet and greet with the drivers and organisers and scoped out the cars.

The drivers were in and out of the pits doing practice runs and fine tuning their cars for qualifying. The tension was on a all time high between two drivers Danger Dan and Shane Green fighting for first place.

WIth the qualifying starting all the drivers were doing very well, nailing their lines, hitting clipping points.

With the day coming towards an end, the smoke from the tyres settling and the crowed gathering to find out who took the overall win.

Congrats to Danger Dan for taking 1at place of the series and Shane Green for taking 2nd place.

With the seires coming to an end, everyone including myself are very eager to see what the 2016 series holds.

On Saturday i saw myslef heading to Killarney Race Track for round 4 of the SupaDrift Western Cape Regionals. Once i got to the pit area i started my normal routine of greeting the drivers and other media personnel. The practice sessions were going well for the drivers as they not only got to fine their techniques but also their cars for qualifying. Unfortunately 2 of the drivers Juan and Tommie had some mechanical issues during qualifyng and could no longer compete.

On Saturday 11 April Killarney Race Track was playing host to the Extreme festival for a full day of petrol induced action from bikes to racing cars, show and shine cars and even some drift cars.

The day began by meeting a close friend and fellow photographer Gallo from HoodrideSA for an action packed photography session. The crowds were in full swing with their support for the skilled drivers and riders for action packed racing.

All in all it was yet another fun day at the track with friends, fuel and fire
