Wynberg Lawn Tennis Club We are active in league and social
tennis and new members are always welcome!
Steeped in a rich history, having been founded in 1882 - a mere
five years after the first ever tennis championship held at
Wimbledon, when volleying the ball was deemed bad form and
serving over hand was unheard of - Wynberg Lawn Tennis Club
is the oldest club in the Western Province and remains an active
force in Western Province Tennis. Wynberg Lawn Tennis Club has five all-weather courts set in neat
gardens and a magnificent clubhouse originally designed by Herbert
Baker.
