Rallying Behind Our Own: Vote for Nicky Carpenter!

We have some incredible news to share! Today, Nicky Carpenter received confirmation that she has been selected as a finalist in the Good Hope FM Warrior Woman Awards (Sporting Champions Award category).

This is a remarkable accomplishment and a well-deserved recognition of her dedication, passion, perseverance, and outstanding sporting achievements.

We are incredibly proud to
have Nicky as part of our team and community.

Some people make a difference because it is part of their job, but Nicky makes a difference because it is part of who she is. To many at Meadowridge Football Club, she is known as Club Secretary, coach, and medic. But to the countless people whose lives she has touched, she is so much more:

● On the Pitch: She dedicates countless hours to coaching the First Team Ladies while also serving as the medic for the Men's First Team. Whether she is guiding players from the sidelines, helping an injured athlete back to their feet, encouraging someone who has lost confidence, or simply listening when life feels overwhelming, she gives her whole heart to those around her.
● Beyond the Field: Her impact does not end when the game does. From taking the time to teach someone how to read to reaching out to the Lavender Hill community with support and resources, or quietly stepping in to care for animals in need—she goes the extra mile when nobody is watching.

While sport is often measured by wins, goals, and trophies, Nicky reminds us that the true victory lies in the lives we change and the people we uplift. She embodies everything a true Warrior Woman stands for: selfless service, compassion, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to making the world around her better!

Now, it’s our turn to show up for her!

Dear Meadows Family.

Thank you to all of our Club members, affiliates, fellow football clubs and League administrators who attended this moving tribute to our beloved Coach Nisaa.

FAMILY. FRIENDS. COMMUNITY.

All of the things she held very close to her heart. All represented in paying our final respects.

A strong commitment made by Robin to continue building on what Nisaa so bravely pioneered - a Girl's Division that lives up to everything Nisaa stood for.

To the Daniels family, please know that you will always occupy a special place at Meadows and that Coach Nisaa will not be forgotten.

Rest in peace Coach Nisaa.

It is with tremendous sadness that Meadowridge AFC announces the passing of our beloved Coach Nisaa Daniels. Nisaa occupied the position of Girls' Football Coordinator. What Nisaa did for Meadowridge AFC and for girls football was tremendous. The growth and development of girls football at Meadowridge AFC set the standard for every other club to be measured by. Nisaa had a vision to see girls and woman's football reach heights never attained before. As a club we quickly recognized where Nisaa was taking our own Girls football and gave her 100% support. Nisaa was given a lot of flexibility and trust from the club to pursue her vision. During Nisaa's time at our club, the girls grew tremendously and the infrastructure that was created was unrivaled. Nisaa was a strong willed and determined person that held girls football in her arms and much like a mother with a new born baby, this is how Nisaa was with girls football. She nurtured it, cared for it and protected it. We will miss her 'can do' attitude and determination to make things happen. No words will do justice to what an immense loss this is to us all at Meadowridge AFC.

To all our players and coaches, Nisaa worked tremendously hard to see her vision to become a reality. As a club, we owe it to Nisaa to see her vision come true. This is what she fought for and this is what we owe to her to achieve. She would want nothing less of all of us.

Not only did Meadowridge AFC lose a tremendous coach, but our sport lost one of it's strongest supporters of woman's football. Our condolences to her entire family. As a club, we will support family and be there for them. She leaves behind beloved husband Yunus and two daughters, Lailah and Yusrah

All our games this weekend at home will observe a moment of silence in memory of our beloved Coach Nisaa.

We will miss you Nisaa. But we will continue what you started and our club will always honour and remember you and what you achieved.
