This month’s newsletter explores the importance of understanding your emotions in relation to self-trust.
Our emotions are not inconveniences to push aside or “fix”. They often carry valuable information about our needs, boundaries, values and experiences.
Learning to recognise and work with emotions more gently can be an important part of building deeper self-awareness and self-trust.

As I step into maternity leave, I’m also stepping into a slower, more intentional season.
This work has always been about supporting people through transitions - and this feels like one of my own.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be taking time to pause, reflect, and be present with this new chapter.
If you’re part of this community, thank you. Your support, trust, and openness has meant more than you know 🤍

It’s easy to trust yourself when things are going well, when decisions feel clear and everything seems to flow. But self-trust isn’t built in those moments. It’s built when things feel uncertain, messy, or hard, when you don’t have all the answers and you’re still asked to show up. And this is where compassion becomes so important. Because self-trust doesn’t grow through pressure or criticism, it grows when you’re able to stay with yourself, even in discomfort, rather than turning against yourself.

Self-trust isn’t just built on honesty or discipline.
It’s built on compassion.
Because the moment things don’t go as planned, that’s when it’s tested.
The way you speak to yourself in those moments matters.
Compassion doesn’t lower your standards.
It changes the tone of the relationship you have with yourself.
And that’s what allows self-trust to actually last.

Bigger kids, bigger questions.
Not bigger problems.
As children grow, the questions naturally become more complex and challenging.
Subject choices can bring uncertainty, pressure, and even anxiety - for both parent and child.
But that doesn’t mean something is wrong.
Often, it’s a sign that something important is happening.
When approached with curiosity instead of pressure, this stage can become a powerful opportunity for growth and understanding. Creating a journey, you can walk together.
If you would value personalised support in navigating this stage with your child, reach out to book a conversation.

Many capable, conscientious professionals quietly carry a fear of being “found out” - despite clear evidence of their competence.
This is often what we call imposter syndrome.
In my prerecorded webinar, Imposter Syndrome & Self-Doubt: A Compassionate, Practical Guide, I explore this experience through a psychologically grounded lens.
Because it’s not just about confidence.
It’s about understanding the patterns that keep self-doubt in place.
In this session, we explore:
• what imposter syndrome really is
• why it so often affects high achievers
• the cycle of overworking and avoidance
• the five competence types
• practical tools to begin shifting your relationship with self-doubt
This is not about fixing yourself.
It’s about relating to yourself differently - with more steadiness, perspective, and compassion.

I offer BrainWorking® Recursive Therapy (BWRT®) as part of my practice.
BWRT works with the brain’s automatic response patterns, helping shift anxiety, imposter syndrome, burnout and confidence blocks - without reliving painful experiences in detail.
It aligns deeply with my belief in supporting individuals come up with their own, personalised solutions.
If you’re curious about how a BWRT-informed session could support you, feel free to reach out to book.
