Pinelands Athletic Club

Last night our club house was pure excitement for our Comrades Marathon send-off.

What is a send-off without braai and geselligheid? So, between the chicken and wors, the warm hugs and well wishes, stories, pensive anticipation, and jolly chats, the mood was 100% social. No serious race talk, just the PAC club family wishing each other well.

We recognised and honoured our "novices" taking on the Ultimate Human Race for the first time, our "experienced" runners, and our "veterans"!

To all our Comrades runners, we wish you light legs and a strong spirit. Run with heart and trust your training. Whether it’s your first Comrades race or your 19th, we are behind you every km.

It was a misty start with PB energy all round and flat roads ahead at the UWC Fast & Flat 10km race start with athletes finishing strong!

Our podium queen, Nancy Will secured 1st 70+ in 52:17. 👑🏆
