*In a few days the Amabele Belles are heading to the IBCPC Dragon Boat Festival 2026 in France, Aix-les-Bains*

The AmaBele Belles, the only breast cancer survivor club in South Africa will be joining 4500 other participants across the world in France from 24 to 31 August 2026. The shores of Lac du Bourget in Aix-les-Bains, France, will welcome paddlers, supporters, and communities from around the world for the IBCPC Participatory Dragon Boat Festival.

This international gathering for breast cancer paddler teams celebrates strength, recovery, connection, and the powerful role that dragon boat paddling can play in rehabilitation and well-being after a breast cancer diagnosis.

This event is hosted every 4 years and is more than a festival — it is a celebration of life after breast cancer, honouring resilience, raising awareness, and showing what is possible when people paddle forward together.

Ten AmaBele Belles Breast Cancer Survivors (BCS) will be heading to France together with 4 supporters and their Coach. The Belles will be forming a composite team called the GloBelles. Joining the Belles in the composite are five BCS Paddlers from Italy (Trifoglio Rosa Mestre), four BCS Paddlers from the USA (Hope Afloat USA) and two BCS Paddlers from Ireland (Medbs Pink Dragon Warriors)
