We need the help of a printing company (preferably in the Tableview area) to print and donate a flag for a cause close to my heart.
International Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Day is on Wednesday 09 September 2026
Hope of Hope are hosting a FASD awareness walk on the Blouberg beachfront on Wednesday morning.
They have asked me to help them spread the word.
I asked if they had a flag that we could walk with on Wednesday so we could be more visible on the walk ... but they don't have one.
I don’t know if there is enough time between now and the end of Tuesday to have a flag made, but if anyone is connected to the printing industry and could arrange a flag to be printed and donated before Wednesday ... that would be so amazing.
The printing company donating the flag is welcome to include their name on the flag, e.g “Kindly printed and donated by …. “
WhatsApp me if you can help.
Blessings

**** Prana Love Yoga - Weekly Update - 05 September 2026 - Lots of Events !!!! ****
Hello all
How has the week been? Have you been okay? Did you get through the struggles okay? I know we tend to highlight the good parts .. especially publicly. But perhaps privately it's the opposite.
It is good to try and see the bright side ... if we can, because this can lift us out of the heaviness. But sometimes this does not work, and we have to admit that we are struggling rather than looking away from it.
I find that this too can bring relief. It is a different type of relief ... It is a relief that comes from offering time to the feelings and being compassionate with yourself.
Even better is if you can say it to someone else ... "I am struggling at the moment". Often our own care combined with the care of someone else, can be enough for us to get through the struggle.
Knowing that others actually care is such a beautiful thing to experience.
After I shared in last week's newsletter that I was receiving lots of strong negative energy, I was so moved by the support that came pouring in .. kind words received in messages and emails .. offers of help .. support on social media.
Thank you to all of you. The kindness definitely lifted me out of the heaviness.
Let us lift each other up when needed.
Big Lesson By Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer
Today it feels so simple:
we are here to take care of each other.
How could we ever forget?
As if soil could forget it is here to feed the trees.
As if trees could forget they are here to feed the soil.
How could anything ever get in the way of generosity?
How could we ever greet each other with any words besides,
How can I help you?
As if light could forget it is here to help illuminate.
As if dark could forget it is here to help us heal.
Events ... Events ... Such Wonderful Events
There is so much going on ... I am so excited about all the events that are coming up ... which one(s) are you joining?
*** The Blue Peter Hotel Yoga with Headphones event - Sun 06 Sep ***
This is the 2nd event at the Blue Peter and after tomorrow's event they have asked if we could do one every 2nd Sunday. So maybe you will become a regular.
We have changed the time a little from last week's gathering. There are still two yoga sessions to choose from:
- 09h00 to 09h45
- 10h15 to 11h00
We will again be wearing Silent Music's headphones, so we can truly immerse ourselves into the moment and into our bodies.
There is no booking and space is limited. So get down there 20 to 30 minutes before your preferred time slot, so that you don't miss out.
The yoga comes at the price of a beverage. When you arrive, head upstairs to the bar and buy your preferred beverage and they will give you a ticket to the class. Present this ticket to receive a headphone. And then you can enjoy your beverage after the class.
I hope to see you tomorrow.

*** Home of Hope - FASD Awareness Beachfront Walk - Wed 09 Sep - 08:30 .. PLEASE SUPPORT ***
International Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Day is Wednesday 09 September 2026
A big appeal from me to please join the awareness walk or support if you can.
In my 16th year of sobriety, and with first hand knowledge of how alcohol abuse affects children, this cause is really close to my heart.
Please could you try to spare an hour and half of your day and just R20 for the awareness sticker to join the walk. Maybe you join with your friends .. maybe you join with your colleagues or invite a supplier or customer to join you.
If you can't join the walk, please support this awareness campaign by purchasing the R20 sticker from the Home of Hope premises in Tableview.
B.t.w ... after the walk you can head over to News Cafe on Marine Circle ... show them your sticker and get a free coffee.
The walk will be nice and gentle ... about 4 kms along the beachfront ... starting and ending at Eden on the Bay. Please arrive at Eden on the Bay by 08:30 to buy your sticker and there will be a briefing from Home of Hope and a little centering from me.
Oh ... and ...they have asked us to wear our funkiest socks. I am not sure if I have any .. so I may go barefoot.
More details here: https://www.facebook.com/share/1BiAZqnrCn/
One last appeal for this cause ... it is a long shot .. but I am going to try anyway.
I asked if they had a flag that we could walk with on Wednesday so we could be more visible ... but they don't have one. I don’t know if there is enough time between now and the end of Tuesday to have a flag printed. But if anyone is connected to the printing industry and could arrange a flag to be printed and donated ... that would be so amazing.
I have included a possible mock-up of the flag image in the pics.

*** Outdoor Mindfulness Meditation with Headphones - Sunday 13 Sep 08:30 ***
Another event with Silent Music's headphones ... however, this event is quite different from the Yoga at Blue Peter.
The outdoor meditation event is purely a meditation ... time for stillness ... time for noticing what we have maybe been pushing aside ... time for cultivating deeper self-compassion.
I see the meditation event more as healing practice ... healing that comes from both the external setting and the ground beneath us ... and healing from us intentionally paying attention.
Just a heads-up that the early bird price ends on Monday, with the pricing as follows:
** R200 for earlybirds up to Mon 07 Sep.
** R250 from Tue 08 Sep to Sat 12 Sep
** R300 at the event (if there is still space)

Sound baths are wonderful... and Lara has invited Sharyn, who is so amazing ... to share her intuitive sound healing gifts.
Lara's beautiful home studio is perfect for this intimate event. However, there are only 9 spots available, so if a sound bath is what you need, hurry and book.

I didn't mention it specifically ... but don't forget the Tues FREE beach yoga ... that hopefully will always be a weekly event for many years to come.
Let's gather together in self-care and wellbeing practices ... this collective energy goes a long way towards getting us through the bumpy part of the journey.
So much gratitude for your support.
Much love and blessings
