"There Are No Limits"
- 'KALA': the second principle of HUNA, Hawaiian Philosophy.
The concept of no limits has been an ancient belief by seers in many cultures, and now, with our quantum understanding of the world, we see that all things are connected because everything is energy and we are all made of the same stuff. Different frequencies and vibrations make the same universal substance 'appear' to be something, 'appear' to be separate.
There are no limits to our universe. Beyond the farthest star and inside the yet undiscovered components of quarks, we are in a place whose centre is everywhere. So our dreams have no boundaries as well. Anything is possible.
Through our beliefs, we choose from the infinite sea of possibility, exactly which ideas and dreams to formulate into reality. By clarifying our intention, changing our beliefs and giving attention to a different set of possibilities, we change the reality we experience.

"The World is what you Think It Is"
- this is known as 'IKE': the first Principle of HUNA, the traditional Hawaiian Philosophy.
Many deep healing practices understand that our world is a reflection of our beliefs. In 1400, for example, everyone in Europe believed the world was flat. For people at that time, this was an undisputed fact. As we change our perception, our awareness, our world changes as well.
Quantum Theory has explained details of this process, of how our views change our world, for over a 100 years now, but we struggle to accept the implications. Also, it's usually a lot easier to blame someone or something outside ourselves for what we don't like in our lives.
Sometimes difficult to acknowledge or accept, we create our own reality, through our beliefs, attitudes and expectations.
Our experiences are a product of the beliefs, expectations and attitudes we hold about ourselves and the world. By taking responsibility for this, we take responsibility for our lives and the ability to change anything, and this brings us closer to creating the life we really want for ourselves.
When we look at our current life and really understand it as a reflection of our internal reality, we open to the exciting possibilities of what it could look like!

The 7th Huna Principle: PONO
"Effectiveness is the Measure of Truth"
To heal yourself on every level is the ultimate goal and whatever vehicle brings you to it is the truth for you.
Corollary: There Is Always Another Way To Do It
For every problem there are lots of solutions. It has to be so in an unlimited universe. But people often get stuck with one method, technique, one process or plan to achieve their goals, and if that method didn’t work they quit.
The major defining factor of successful people is Flexibility. Change your approach if whatever you are currently doing is not bringing you to it. Yes persistence is good, but you need to evaluate after a while whether you are making progress.

The 6th Huna Principle: MANA
"All Power Comes From Within"
Most religions, philosophies and sciences define the individual as pretty powerless. It doesn’t matter whether the source of power is defined as God, fate, a philosophical principle, society, the government, the past, your genes, your parents or any other external force of good or evil – power is nearly always somewhere else. At least that’s what is at the back of most peoples mind. Huna is quite radically on the opposite side of the spectrum – it’s 6th principle 'Mana' states that ALL power comes from you. Note here that there are NO limits to this – ALL power to define your existence is within you. Let’s look at the consequences if you accept this to be true.
First Let’s Look At Why Huna Comes To This Conclusion.
The second principle Kala defines that the universe and the source of life is limitless – there are no limits to it. The universe and the spiritual source is infinite. Now comes the shocking part – if you break up an infinite energy source into separate parts, then each part keeps that infinite power within. Just like a hologram does, when you break it into pieces.
What Are The Consequences Of This?
Accepting yourself as having ALL the power within you leads to these conclusions:
Nothing is going to happen without you defining it
Everything that happened to you, you created and attracted
You are the only one who can define your experience
Other have no power over you – other than what you give up
Your energy is channeled and focused through your beliefs and emotions. So what you believe to be true or what you are afraid of will draw the experience to you, because you define it through your focused energy.
No one else can make you sad or hurt you – you can only do this by yourself. You can of course invite others to hurt you.
There are no victims – every time you define yourself as a victim you deny your creative power and give someone else the power (but not really, because you can’t give it away in reality you can just create the illusion of giving away power). You still create the experience but don’t take responsibility for it by saying someone else is responsible for it.
Huna has an extreme viewpoint on this but, think about it, ultimately it's a very empowering position.

The 5th Huna Principle: ALOHA
"To Love Is To Be Happy With"
Love gives you a feeling of joy and happiness; and the intensity of those feelings correlate to the intensity and depth of your love.
Loving deeply means experiencing a strong connection. Depth and clarity of a connection grow in the same amount that you are able to release fear, anger and despair.
Corollary: Loves Grows When Your Judging Diminishes
Whenever there is an increase in fear, anger or doubt there is also an increase in our willingness to judge or criticize. These are the root causes of separation that will lead to a decline of love.
Both – praise and acknowledgment – are an act of love, of being happy with – your partner, your current situation.... Now that doesn’t mean that there should not be change, but if you follow principle 3 – MAKIA – “Energy flows where attention goes”, then you should understand, that focusing your attention on the good things in your relationship and your life through praise and acknowledgment will attract even better things, while focusing on the negative things through judging or criticizing will attract even more failures, misunderstandings and problems.
So Aloha – Love and Be Happy With …

The reality we create for ourselves is based on our thoughts - our attitudes, expectations and beliefs. These are mostly held in the subconscious mind. To understand better why our reality looks the way it currently does, we need to bring these attitudes, expectations and beliefs into the conscious mind.
