This confirms my thoughts that horses might not come out of the stable or night camp in the morning the way they went in the night before..... do not always assume your horse is 100% and ready to work for you because he was fine the day before.

I've been so busy imaging and fitting saddles, trying to make horses as comfortable as possible in CT through to George, Knysna, Plett and Uniondale, that I've not had time to share my thoughts, experiences and findings. But here goes..... time to start sharing...
Yes... horses have only 1 mouth so it must be preserved in order that the rider can communicate effectively with the horse. But they also have only 1 back and communication gets scribbled if the back can't carry the 1 team member comfortably. A properly fitted saddle is the key.
