While Cape Town endured the gale force winds on Sunday 26 November, climbtablemountain took a client up Clifton Crest and Aquanaut in beautiful conditions on Lion's Head in the lee of the mountain. A walk on Clifton Beach afterwards didn't go amiss. No wind on the beach, everyone in the malls where the wind was howling!

Three days in a row this weekend. Today RCYC Sailing Academy walked the Pipe Track, up Corridor Ravine and then across for lunch at the dam, then down to Constantia Neck. A big walk on a blazing hot day!

Sailors also like to climb? Climbtablemountain had the privilege to guide three sailors up India Venster today. We discussed how India was discovered through the India Venster, and how the Devil beat van Hunks at his own game!

Lots of these things make sense.
I'd like to add....
Only reusable water bottles on any mountain ever...
Take everything off the mountain when you leave. No paper or plastic or any litter should ever remain. Including ablution paper!
When you see litter on a mountain, gather it and take it down if you can!
Top rules for climbers and alpinists, according to BLUE ICE
These are the top commandments every climber or alpinist should - and must - know and follow.

Environmental awareness and recommendations
Table Mountain is being used more and more every day. We advise all visitors on the mountain to do two new things to preserve the mountain for future enjoyment.
1. Please take water in a re-usable bottle
2. Take a small plastic sandwich bag with you on your walk and put your tissues into it. Carry them down again or dispose of the plastic containing your tissues appropriately. If you need to use the loo, take your paper away in a likewise manner
Plastic bottles litter the mountain, and the small clear plastic protector domes litter the slopes and paths
Tissues may disintegrate in time but in the meantime they are a serious eyesore and leaving them on the side or in the path is just simply unnecessary
If you take it up, take it down again!
Wonderful!
