Gym type #1 = that traditional gym you got cheap with your medical aid that has a bunch of machines and no guidance… you never go anyway

Gym type #2 = the joint that packs you in to classes and it’s all GO GO GO and motivation but doesn't really coach technique… you want to improve but it’s hard when you’ve only got 10 minutes to practice a movement once a fortnight

Are you a victim of “Athletic Materialism"?

I never thought of myself as someone who lifts weights.

It took a while to get the hang of it but the coaches are really patient.

Now I’m really enjoying seeing my progress. It’s a great feeling seeing the changes in the mirror.
