On National Women’s Day, the Parow Arms & Ammo team, together with amazing volunteers, came together to host something truly special... the Aim for Hope Charity Event. None of this would have been possible without the support and teamwork of so many.

✨ A special thank you to our sponsors and partners:

• Villiera Wines – for donating an incredible Game Drive & Wine Tasting for up to 10 guests.
• Natshoot, SAGA, and Real Deal Resources – for your partnership and support.
• Hamish Deal (Real Deal Resources) & Tony Saddington – for sharing your expertise as our instructors.
• Everyone who contributed toward food, refreshments, raffle support and behind-the-scenes help.

And of course, a massive thank you to every participant who joined us on Women’s Day.

We recently announced the winners at our shop, joined by some of our regular locals. We tried to capture it on video, but with all the excitement (and a few gunshots in the background 🎯), it got a little noisy.

🎉 Lucky Draw Winner:
We made use of a digital spin-the-wheel and happy to announce that Melisa Beyn is the winner of the Game Drive & Wine Tasting for up to 10 guests sponsored by Villiera Wines! 🍷🦒

🏆 Top 3 Shooters of the Day:
🥇 1st Prize – Marlene Wilcocks → Handgun Proficiency Course.
🥈 2nd Prize – Liezaan Oosthuysen → Firearm Orientation Course (at Parow Arms) + Mystery Prize.
🥉 3rd Prize – Tania Marr → Firearm Orientation Course (at Parow Arms).

Congratulations to all our winners and a big thank you once again to every participant, sponsor and supporter who made this day possible.

Together, we aimed for hope and hit the mark.

We are incredibly grateful to Real Deal Resources for arranging a generous donation of beautiful pot plants from Lowensvlei towards our Aim For Hope charity event happening TOMORROW!

We are going to have loads of fun on the shooting range.

🎁 The first 15 ladies in the queue will each receive one of these gorgeous plants. A little gift of gratitude for your support.

Gents, don’t let the ladies have all the fun alone; come and join in too. Remember, it’s all for a good cause and a great way to have fun while making a difference.

📅 National Women’s Day – 9 August 2025

We are hosting a fun charity shooting event on National Women’s Day. This event is held in honour of all women who have faced cancer and for those who have stood by a loved one fighting the same battle. It is a celebration of strength, resilience and the unwavering spirit of women.

As part of the day, we will be running a raffle to raise funds for Samantha, a brave woman currently recovering from a long and difficult cancer journey.

Samantha recently completed 45 sessions of radiation, red chemo and steroids and now suffers from Grade 1 burn wounds and ongoing side effects. She is still feeling the aftershocks of her treatment, but she’s not fighting alone. 💗

💥 How You Can Help
We are looking for raffle prize sponsors — businesses or individuals willing to donate a product, voucher or service.

🎁 Your contribution will:
✅ Be featured on our page
✅ Help ease Samantha’s recovery costs as all raffle proceeds will be donated to Samantha.

📢 Want to get involved?
Reach out via Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp [074 105 2551] if you can sponsor a prize or assist in any way.

Let’s make Women’s Day 2025 a day of hope, community and compassion.

💖 💖 All money raised from the raffle, coffee sales and a braai hosted by Samantha’s family/friends will be donated directly to her to support her recovery. More information on the event to follow soon.
