Happening Saturday 6th of May. Southey Vines Bike Park.
Hi Everyone!
We've met a few people on the track recently who have said they'd like to get involved.
We've had a few build days lately, which have had no or minimal community turnout, which has been disappointing. The work is not back-breaking and its great to meet other riders from the area.
We're also looking for anyone who has contacts in order to help us with soil dumps as up to now we've struggled to source soil and the piles we have sourced have been funded entirely out-of-pocket from the build team volunteers themselves.
Please inbox message us if you'd like to get involved. We largely rely on volunteer work to keep the track going and in nice shape.
Thanks to everyone from yesterday’s event who helped this morning with the cleanup. Great to see the community getting involved in the park together - hopefully this can be the first of many builds together.
If you would like to get involved with building in the park, we are having a community build from 9am tomorrow.
Due to the heavy rains and wet soil we’ve blocked off some parts of the track that we worked on - please ride around these sections for now.

Hello friends of Southey Vines bicycle trails!
The rains are coming and this means soil is going to be great to shape.
We are having a community build day on Sunday 14th (this Sunday). 9am - 14.00
For any dads and sons looking for a morning moving soil and having fun in the dirt.
Please bring a spade along.
Wheelbarrows are welcomed with open arms.
Regards Murray / Brandon
The rain will stop today for a few days. Please stay off Southeys till the track is dry.
We have had a lot of rain which has soaked the track.

Our local builder putting in some testing!
A message from him:
"Hi Guys, Brandon here, we are almost completed on phase 1 of the bottom flow section. The last feature is a bit steep, which we will fix this week. This weekend we will compact the rest of the bottom line. For anyone keen to help - this Saturday 9th - 8am to 12."

Thanks to everyone who turned out on Saturday for our first community build of the year!
Rain today is a real blessing as it will help compact the line. All that's left to finish is the bottom section.
If you missed out on our first build day don't stress - there is another Community Build at 8am this Saturday (26th)! Please do join if you'd like to get involved with the build or even just to come meet and greet!

What's this we see? Another new addition to the track!
Rollers? Turns? Table tops? To be confirmed! Lots going on!
Please keep an eye out for marked building areas and loose clay as we make these new additions.

Thanks Brandon De Bruyn for building the latest berm on the track! Great to see members of the community getting involved! Hope everyone is enjoying the new addition!
As always, please message us if you would like to get involved! Together we can do so much more for the park!

Seven years ago someone stole a tennis net from the tennis club and tried to burn off the plastic to get to the wire. In the process one of our bridges got burnt
