Our mission is to provide children from challenging and low socio-economic communities with the opportunity for enjoyment, empowerment and the promotion of self-esteem through the medium of dance, as well as training professional dancers and developing a unique, indigenous dance company.

Cape Town City Ballet (CTCB) proudly presents an abridged version of Coppélia on 19 September 2026 at the Joseph Stone Auditorium in Athlone. Geared towards the youth, it features CTCB company members alongside talented youngsters from the Eoan Group and Dance for All.
The story follows Franz, a young man captivated by a mysterious girl named Coppélia, unaware that she is in fact a life-sized doll created by the eccentric inventor Dr Coppélius. Much to the dismay of his fiancée, Swanhilda, his infatuation sparks a chain of comic misunderstandings before she uncovers the truth, setting the stage for a delightful tale of humour and adventure.
