Behind the scenes - SA JUNIOR CHAMPS 2026 – CHAMPIONS!

What a week. What a crew. What a journey! ❤️🌊

An unforgettable week in Jeffreys Bay, where Cape Town Surf Riders were crowned SA Junior Champions! 🏆🔥

From the opening function to the incredible surfing, the massive results, and the closing celebrations — this week was something truly special. Memories that will last a lifetime!

One of the biggest honours for me is looking around this team and realising I’ve been coaching some of these kids since they were just 10 years old. Watching them grow, develop, overcome challenges and become the surfers and young people they are today is something I’ll never take for granted.

We celebrated some massive wins, incredible performances and personal milestones. But just as exciting is seeing a whole new generation of talented young surfers coming through the ranks, hungry and ready to make their mark! 🚀

And for some of our older surfers, the next chapter is already calling — WSL Juniors, the WQS and bigger opportunities on the world stage. The future is looking incredibly bright for Cape Town surfing! 🌍🌊

A huge thank you to Surfing South Africa for pulling out all the stops and putting together such an incredible event. From start to finish, absolutely world-class!

And to our amazing crew — the surfers, coaches, managers, parents and everyone behind the scenes — this one belongs to ALL of you. ❤️

So proud. So grateful. So many memories. And the best is still to come!

🌊🏄‍♂️ LEARN TO SURF – AFTER-SCHOOL SURF CLUB! 🏄‍♀️🌊

We’re excited to kick off our new Learn to Surf After-School Program, starting Tuesday, 13 October!

Whether your child is catching their very first wave or wants to improve their surfing skills, our program is all about building confidence, ocean awareness, surfing skills and, most importantly, having fun!

📅 Starts: Tuesday, 13 October
🏄 Tuesdays & Thursdays
🕞 3:30 PM – 4:45 PM
📍 Hout Bay / Llandudno – venue selected according to the best and safest conditions
👦👧 Ages 7–14
🏄‍♂️ All surfing equipment provided
✅ Professional, registered surf coaches

Children can join our Tuesday group, Thursday group, or both days, depending on availability.

💰 PRICING

7-Session Term Package: R1,540
(R220 per session × 7 sessions)

Drop-in Session: R250 per session

Please note that a minimum of 5 surfers per group/day is required for lessons to take place.

Our goal is to give every child a safe, supportive and fun environment where they can progress their surfing, make friends and build confidence in the ocean.

What an incredible team. What an incredible community.

Five days of something we’ll never forget — amazing waves, fierce competition, focus, laughter, evening get-togethers, friendships, families and a whole lot of love for surfing.

This win belongs to everyone. Our surfers, families, parents, managers, coaches, supporters and every single person working behind the scenes. Everyone brought their passion, energy and love for the sport, and somehow it all came together at exactly the right time.

More than the trophy, it was the togetherness that made this so special. The way everyone backed one another, celebrated one another and stood together as one Cape Town team.

Thank you to absolutely everyone who was part of it. A memory we will keep forever. ❤️
