SA MARATHON CHAMPS 2026🇿🇦

Looking back on an epic SA Marathon Champs earlier this month! A massive congratulations to all the competitors, especially our FHBSC members who raced, as well as multiple of our members being selected for the ICF Canoe Marathon World Champs to be held in Argentina from 22-25 November 2026🤩

The cold and wind was a force to be reckoned with, but you all handled it so professionally and it was great racing to watch 👏🏼 Thank you to Peninsula Canoe Club for hosting an incredible champs!

The countdown to World Surfski Champs is on🕺🏼100 days to go until racing commences in La Vila Joiosa, Spain on the 9th-11th of October! Keep training hard, we can’t wait to see how it all unfolds ❤️‍🔥

Whether you are a beginner or advanced paddler, there are always the non-negotiables when it comes to safety on the water! In addition to these essentials, always remember to:
🗣️ Tell someone that you are going to paddle and how long you expect to be
☀️ Give yourself enough time to complete your paddle before dark
👕 Wear enough layers, especially during the winter months!
✅ Ensure your craft is in good condition

Today we get to celebrate the ocean that brings our community together. Unforgettable days on the water is at the heart of everything we do at Fishhoek Beach Sports Club! What do you love most about the ocean? 🩵

❄️Winter Warriors❄️

As we head into winter time, the wind usually does a full 180° turn, and we begin to get our much loved Reverse Millers Runs! But every now and again, Mother Nature reminds us of summer and delivers a South Easter💨🌊

Yesterday was one of those days! Big swell, howling SE winds and icy water. A few of our members braved the storm and enjoyed one of the last few days of South Easterly winds before winter settles in🌧️🌪️
