FHBSC Fish Hoek Beach Sports Club

📍A social sports club, nestled just behind the dunes of Fish Hoek Beach.

FHBSC has a clubhouse with shower, catering and bar facilities, as well as a green lawn and slipway for the use of its paid up members. These members may also request to join the Facebook group "Fish Hoek Beach Sports Club" which contains information specifically for club members.

As the Western Cape heads into their summer season, which will see hundreds of paddlers out on the water, it’s time for a little safety refresher🌊💨

The FHBSC has developed a safety booklet that covers almost everything you need to know before you go out on your next paddling adventure. Make sure you give it a read🧐

We have had great performances from many pairs, showing the depth and dominance that South African paddling has to offer! Even though it is a relatively new category, it is one of the fan favorites! Uli Hart has built an impressive legacy on the ocean, becoming one of South Africa’s standout names, producing excellent results and even back to back titles💥 From junior champion to U23 dominance and now competing among the world’s best senior paddlers, Uli’s record is a testament to years of consistency, commitment and a serious love for racing on the ocean. We wish him the best of luck at this years World Champs! 🏆

Sam Mocke has proved his dominance for 2 consecutive years claiming victory in the junior men’s division, showing that his grit, skill and love for the water results results in great consistency. The Mocke name is one of the greats in paddling and we can’t wait to see what Sam has in store for this year’s world champs🏆 Good luck in Spain Sam, we know you will make us proud! 🤩

📍Durban, South Africa 2025
Rosie Edwards, one of our international athletes delivered a fantastic paddle that earned her the gold medal in the u23 Women’s Division last year in Durban. Rosie will be in Spain to line up against the world’s bests, and show off her skill and strength that she is known for, coming off of a massive European Champs where she won the overall women’s as well as u23 title 💪🏼 Good luck Rosie, we are behind you all the way 🌹

With exactly 2 weeks to go until the racing begins in Spain at the ICF Canoe Ocean Racing World Championships, we reminisce on our members who have been the champions! 🏆
📍Lanzarote, Spain 2021
Nick Notten put out an excellent performance and claimed victory in the Men’s division, breaking clear early and never looking back 🤩 This was a huge moment for South African Surfski at the comeback event after the pandemic. Pure strength, skill and speed💪🏼
Nick will be back on the line in Spain this year and we wish him the best of luck with his racing!

📍Tahiti, 2015
Mark Keeling, one of our top paddlers, claimed victory in the junior men’s division, dominating the field at the second ever edition of this prestigious event against the best in the world in the French Polynesia 🇵🇫 This was just the beginning of a breakout paddling career, with Mark being a consistent top contender with a strong record of awesome achievements💪🏼
