SWIMRITE TIPS to practise at home;
1. 🫧Practise blowing bubbles.
For beginners; blow soap bubbles, for more advanced students blow with your whole face submerged in water.
2. 🏊♀️Crawl stroke
For beginners forwards; walk while making swimming arms.
For more advance students;
Lie on your tummy on a picnic bench, make swimming arms, and small fast kicks
3. 🔙Back stroke
For beginners; walk backwards and make swimming arms backwards
For more advance students
Lie on your back on a picnic bench and make swimming arms. Focus on bringing the arm up to the ear.
4. 🚴♀️Bilateral integration
For beginners; ride a bicycle
For advanced students;
Cross Crawls- touching your right elbow to your left knee, then alternating
5. 🕷Muscle toning
For beginners; spider walks
For advanced students, skipping with a rope
As with any sport the more you practise in a safe environment the more you build muscle memory and self-confidence.
