A reminder to all our athletes: scholars, amateur or elite…….. please contact Cape Sports Medicine ( 0216595644) and book your baseline concussion test before the year starts rolling. Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) are a sporting injury for heaps of sports. PLEASE DONT ONLY CONSIDER RUGBY!!!. Last year we saw athletes with TBI’s from surfing, hockey, cycling, running, car accidents, waterpolo, cricket, padel, swimming, diving too.

I’ve been at Villagers for 25 years and this morning we lost one of the most amazing humans who managed the First XV rugby team in my first few years. His energy filled the change room and surrounded the field. His passion and loyalty for the club, its members and the rugby section was incredible. He was loved by anyone who ever met him. We miss you Miles. RIP and huge love to his family.

Excited for our Villagers club First XV rugby team tomorrow in their FINAL against the Naka Bulls! They’ve had one amazing season having won the league. Last time Villagers won the league was 25 years ago and now they are in the Pick N Pay Gold cup Final! Please come down and support the club tomorrow!!!!

Someone is back in town and another patient’s day is made!

The journey began 1/4 of a decade ago! I have met and worked with amazing colleagues from all corners of the world. And now we have collaborated to produce this incredible book! Thank you for the opportunity especially to for forcing me to step WAY outside my comfort zone and to and (the editors)for their incredible drive and support for this creation. Can’t wait for the book launch and ‘see you all’ albeit online 5 September 2025.
