As Women's Month comes to a close, we're celebrating our community!🫶

🥊 A huge thank you to Rays Muay Thai & Fitness Academy for putting on an incredible kickboxing demonstration. Watching these little powerhouses in action was nothing short of inspiring!

👜 We were also honoured to provide stylish bags as prizes for NPO Children Of Tomorrow-SA Women's Day event, celebrating an organisation dedicated to building a better future for disadvantaged learners.

🩸 And most importantly, we're overjoyed to announce the renewal of Wynberg Secondary School Pad Vending Machine for the 3rd year running! To everyone who donated pads, thank you.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, gave back, and made this Women's Month one to remember. This is what community looks like. 💚

Yesterday’s early morning news came as a huge shock. Henry Madini rang from JHB and all the posts on social media confirmed the passing of Ncedo.

South Africa has lost a giant of a Muay Thai fighter.

He was 15 years old when he came to me, the talent was already evident. On our journey to build and win titles, he shocked the local fight industry with his dominance in the ring. His transition from amateur to pro fighter was inevitable, he was too strong for basically all the SA fighters in his weight category. We literally had to travel locally and internationally to ensure fights, and we did it. His build up was solid. Ncedo was destined for the world stage. Internationally, he became a superstar.

As a boy and then a man he was quiet, his language was fighting in the ring. He reminded me so much of Buakaw with his quiet but mischievous nature which faded instantly when it was time to train and fight. We shared a profound love of Muay Thai and I nurtured this talent exposing him at a very young age to international competition. He excelled on that stage. He was enormously disciplined and consistent in his training.
Ncedo was loved by his teammates and they were immensely proud of him. Our family in that little gym provided a safe space, a place where he could just be a kid and goof around when he wasn’t training - and massive support.
Through the years I kept an eye on his achievements and the birth of his beautiful boy, whom he obviously doted on. He met my little one too and they hit it off instantly. Seeing Ncedo as a dad was a moment. He certainly came a long way, achieved so much and will be remembered for his tenacity and no nonsense attitude in the ring. I am pleased to have been a part of his growth, and rise and to witness his great success in this sport.
