Your child holds it together all day.
Then they walk through your front door and it all comes out.
The school sees the tip. You live underneath it.
The morning battle nobody witnessed. The Sunday night dread. The bedtime tears. The “I’m not going tomorrow.” The friendships that didn’t work. The guilt you carry that was never yours to hold.
None of it shows up on a school report.
It’s not that schools don’t care. Most of them only ever see the surface. The whole iceberg lands on you.
