Tennis Development Centre - Three Anchor Bay

On Saturday the 7th December 2019 Three Anchor Bay Tennis Development Centre hosted a teachers volunteer coaching course in Eden, George. The course was hosted at PW Botha College in George, and was organized by Eden Tennis Association. We had a very enthusiastic group who really enjoyed the course, and eventually felt comfortable running and leading their own lessons before the end of the course. We look forward to the next coaching course, as well as further mentorship and engagement with the current volunteer coaches.

On Friday 22nd November, 3AB Tennis centre hosted there Club Championship finals day.

We had 4 groups of 4 players, and games were played over a 3 week period leading up to ft he finals day where we also had a doubles round Robin happen on the day.

After a tough 3 weeks, Rohan Loubser and Courtney Swartz managed to reach the final.

Rohan Loubser managed to seal the victory with a 6 -2 6-2 victory over Courtney Swartz, becoming the first 3AB Tennis Centre Club Champion. Well done Rohan!

On Saturday the 16th November, Three Anchor Bay Tennis Development Centre hosted a mini tennis shootout at the new multi - purpose sports facility in Gugulethu . Lots of fun was had, and future rising stars were identified. Tennis South Africa

Kgotso Matshego, with Cliffie Swartz and Tony Loubser at Lavender Hill High School where Kgotso conducted a 4-day train-the-trainer workshop with DCAS Head Coaches last week. These Head coaches will each supervise about 4 tennis coaches at township schools across the Western Cape.

Patricia Hendricks from Leadershape facilitated discussion with the young women asking them to identify their dream and find out what and who they need to help them achieve their dream. An inspirational session that warmed them up for the physical journey lead by coach Kgotso.
