SAFA REGULATION AMATEUR PLAYERS TRANSFER CERTIFCATES (TC’s)

January 29, 2020:AMATEUR PLAYERS TRANSFER CERTIFICATES (TC’S)

1. The Region has been inundated with enquiries regarding clearance certificates from members. It is
recommended that the amateur members wanting to resign from his or her club must do so in writing (in
the case of a minor the parent may issue the resignation letter) and forward it to the Club Secretary who
must then be given at least seven (7) to respond/issue the clearance. The clearance must also be
countersigned by the LFA General Secretary noting that LFAs will have different operational arrangements
for the signing thereof.



2. Any disputes or delays by the club in issuing the player clearance must then be referred to the applicable
LFA General Secretary for resolution between parties within seven (7) days. Please ensure that proof of
communication with the club and the member must be kept.
3. Failure to resolve the matter amicably it must then be referred to the Region via the LFA. Members are
encouraged to ensure that they collect all their fees (membership, tracksuit, washing fees, dance ticket
fees, levies etc) from their members as soon as possible in the same year. Disputes can also be referred to
the Regional Player Status Committee if matters cannot be dealt with amicably. The Region may also
decide to issue the player with his/her clearance.
4. Also take note of clause 5.4 of the Regional Statutes dated 17 February 2019 in relation to the charging of
player clearance fees, “That a clearance fee will be capped at one hundred and fifty Rand (R150.00) for
Seniors, for Juniors under the age of nineteen (19) the transfer certificate (TC) will be charged the Regional
Youth Player Registration fee payable to the Region under the jurisdiction of SAFA Cape Town.”
5. In relation to “contracted” players, members are advised to determine within the provisions of the
Uniform Rules and the players contract in respect of resignations from the member club under which he
or she is registered under. Any disputes will have to be referred to the National/Provincial Player Status
Committee as he contracts a lodged with the Provincial/National Office in relation to those competitions
in which the member plays in.
6. Failure to adhere Kindly bring this circular to the attention of all your members.
7. Trusting that you have been informed accordingly.

Today I would love to say to all of you guys still waiting to break into the professional ranks and those who are miss guided because of greed..... 😔If football is what you dream about, talk about, laugh about, cry about...grind very hard stay away from negativity. and always have the most respect for your teammates, your bagde and most of all your coach and senior players... Some of them will guid you into the rite paths.. These days football is no-longer as it was close your mouth, play football, be coach-able, and stick to instructions to many of our young talent falls before they have even given the people, country, club or even the club the best that they can offer.. football evolves day by day.. So my message today is as follows " fear nobody, work for yourself and to give back to those that have invested in you and your dream, because nobody will even buy your family a bread when you no longer have a job, stand for what's rite so that you 1day can lead they way for our other generation that follows" seniors please let's make it out duty to protect these boys to achieve what we have had in our careers, or even better it just makes things simple for them on the road ahead, for scouts, coaches, teams to approach them, because they come out of a environment where they have been well oiled in knowing what's lying ahead for them... 🙏🙏🙏 youth no future
