πŸ—³οΈ Every registration is about more than just an election. It is about strengthening our democracy and helping to build a future where the next generation can enjoy greater opportunities, better services and a community where every voice matters.

β˜• As always, we started the day with coffee and biscuits before taking to the streets, united by a shared commitment to serving our community.

πŸ™ Thank you to every resident who welcomed us into their homes and took the time to engage with us. A special thank you to our dedicated activists and volunteers whose hard work continues to make a difference.

Crunch Time Door to Door Registration Day 2

Before taking to the streets today, our team gathered for a cup of coffee and some biscuits. It was a simple but meaningful opportunity to connect, encourage one another, and prepare for the day ahead.

We then continued with Day 2 of our Crunch Time Door to Door Registration campaign, spending time in the community, meeting residents, and having valuable conversations with the people who make our neighbourhoods what they are.

These visits are about more than voter registration. They are about listening, building relationships, understanding community concerns, and ensuring that residents have the information they need to participate in our democracy.

πŸ’™ Thank you to every resident who welcomed us so warmly and took the time to engage with us. Your openness, kindness, and willingness to share your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

🀝 Thank you to every activist and volunteer who continues to give their time and energy in service of our community. Your dedication and commitment make a real difference.

Together, one conversation at a time, we continue building stronger and more connected communities.

πŸšͺ🏑 Door-to-Door Campaigning

Ward 45 Seawinds

Today we continued our door-to-door campaign in Ward 45, starting in the Seawinds area. These visits remain one of the most important ways to connect directly with residents, listen to community concerns, share information, and ensure that every eligible voter has the opportunity to register and participate in shaping the future of their community.

🀝 A sincere thank you to the residents of Seawinds for welcoming us into your homes, engaging with us, and sharing your thoughts and experiences. Your willingness to have meaningful conversations is greatly appreciated and helps us better understand the needs and priorities of our community.

πŸ’™ Thank you to all the dedicated activists and volunteers who gave their time and energy today. Your commitment, hard work, and passion for serving our communities make these engagements possible. 🀝 Yet another collaboration between Ward 45 and Ward 68.

Today we hosted an information and voter registration table on the corner of Military Road and Prince George Drive. It was a great opportunity to engage with residents, listen to their concerns, answer questions, and share information about the importance of being registered to vote.

πŸ—³οΈ While collaborations between wards are valuable and help us reach more people, the real focus is always the community. Every conversation, every registration, and every interaction is an opportunity to build stronger relationships and ensure that residents are informed, empowered, and able to participate in the decisions that affect their daily lives.

🏘️ Community engagement is not only about elections; it is about being present, accessible, and willing to listen. By meeting people where they are, we create opportunities for meaningful conversations that help us better understand the needs and aspirations of our communities.

πŸ™ Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, ask questions, and engage with us today. Thank you to all the volunteers and activists who gave their time to make the day a success.

πŸ‘ A special word of appreciation to Councillor Mandy Marr and Councillor Phranki Lombard for their leadership, support, and commitment to serving our communities. Your dedication to community engagement and active citizenship is greatly appreciated.

Together, through consistent engagement and collaboration, we continue building stronger and more connected communities.

πŸ§’πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦ Today myself and Steven had the opportunity to join Ward 68 at their voter registration information table during the early afternoon. As someone who comes from Ward 68 and is still registered to vote there, it was meaningful for me to be part of the engagement and reconnect with the community once again.

πŸ—³οΈ Voter registration remains one of the most important parts of democracy. It gives people a voice, allows communities to be represented, and ensures that residents have the power to influence the future of their area. Every registration is a step toward stronger participation, accountability, and positive change within our communities.

🀝 A sincere thank you to Charlene, the Branch Chairperson, Glynnis, and Councillor Marita Petersen for receiving us so warmly. Your hospitality, leadership, and commitment to the community are truly appreciated.

πŸ’™ It is always encouraging to see collaboration between Ward 61, Ward 68, and Ward 45 as we continue working together to strengthen our communities and encourage active civic participation.

Your hospitality, kindness and willingness to have meaningful conversations truly means a lot. These engagements remind us that building stronger communities starts with people connecting with people.

Every registration matters. Every conversation matters. Together we continue working towards a more active, informed and empowered community.

πŸšͺ Today, 27 May 2026, we had a meaningful door to door campaign in Hillview, engaging with residents and having important conversations around voting and community issues.

Every registration matters because being registered to vote gives people a voice in the future of their community and country. It is through registration that residents are able to participate in decisions that affect service delivery, safety, opportunities, and development within our communities.

Thank you to everyone who opened their doors, shared their concerns, and took the step to register. Real change starts with active citizens and strong community engagement.

πŸš— Every day while driving around Ward 45, I make it a priority to engage with residents wherever possible, whether it’s assisting someone with voter registration, speaking about the importance of voting, or simply checking in on people as fellow human beings.

🀝 Today I had another meaningful engagement with Godfrey and Desiree from Vrygrond. What started as a simple conversation about life and everyday challenges created an opportunity to assist them with their voter registration.

πŸ—³οΈ For me, community work is about being present, building relationships, and understanding the real concerns people face daily. Registration and voting are important because they give communities a voice and the ability to shape the future they want to see.

🌱 Genuine conversations and human connection remain at the heart of building stronger communities in Ward 45. Thank you to every resident who takes the time to engage and be part of the journey forward together.
