I am feeling incredibly humbled to be embarking on this Bhakti yoga journey. Yoga of the heart, the yoga of Love. Over the past year I've been pouring my heart out in song, specifically in mantra. Learning how to play musical instruments to accompany these mantras. I have been studying Ta**ra as well as mindfully practicing EMBODYING the Divine as best I can. Living truly from a place of love and understanding that we are all expressions of the Divine.

It is with deep appreciation and excitement that I enroll in an upcoming Kirtan training with . It is my dream to bring kirtan to Cayman and I believe that this is exactly what I'm meant to be doing!

I look forward to sharing more mantras, meditations and rituals that have supported my journey through lockdown and lead me to a greater truth and peace within myself ✨

Okay, so I promised myself I would post more yoga photos, videos and podcasts this year. This is something I've had a major block towards since I started teaching. I find it hard to justify posting a picture of me doing a yoga pose 😜 Like, why???
But this year is going to be a fun and interesting one! We're taking our travel company (Good Omen Travel) abroad, looking for beautiful places in the world. As I'm planning on seeing lots of new things, I think including interesting scenery will make sharing these sort of posts easier 🌼
We all have fears, of which many would be considered silly by others. This is something that makes me feel a little vulnerable BUT ☝ here it is... me being the only tree for miles and miles in the desert on the way to Namibia 🌵💖

And then I just stopped and took a good look at my life... You know, I had a lot of help along the way, a lot of love and support. I definitely didn't do it alone, not by a long shot.
It's because of many random acts of kindness that I am where I am today. It's because of the generosity of the people who love me that I managed to get where I am now. It's thanks to my friends who held me in my most vulnerable times, who picked me up when I felt hopeless and lost and gave me a home and a place to feel safe, it's thanks to them that I am where I am today. To every person who believed in me when I didn't, to every single person who saw my potential and my light when I couldn't... thank you so SO very much. For ever I am so deeply grateful it brings me to tears as I write this. Thank you. Today I am living a life I am proud of, I feel fulfilled and happy and I love the direction in which things are moving :)
I try to pay it forward as best as I can, keeping the love and support going where possible. I'm a long way from getting it right all the time, I guess it's a practice like everything else.

Yoga Zanzibar is looking for an experienced Yoga Teacher from 26 Feb – 1 May 2018
Teaching yoga twice daily, 6 days a week

Minimum 3 years teaching experience.
