LoveAll Tennis Academy

A very, very special mention to four very, very special girls from LoveAll Tennis Academy and Oakhurst Girls Primary School. Maddy Surtees, Tara Smyly, Sophia Muller and Gemma Tagliero. Now ten years old, they started with us in grade R and we have been through so much together over the past 5 years. Recently they competed in their first WP U/10 TRIALS. All four impressively made it through the first round and were selected to represent the WP south zone in phase two of the selection process. WOW! They competed in +35 degree heat this weekend and played with distinction and integrity. Results were mixed, against some seasoned tournament campaigners, but selectors are looking at more than just results in this phase and we await to see if they make the final round. If it's heart they are looking for, these girls have got it in bucket loads. They are also great ambassadors for the game and their school and always complimented on their etiquette and sportsmanship. I am privileged to work so closely with these young legends and blessed to share this journey with them. Coach Benjamin.

massive congrats to Kayla Boraine! Kayla went undefeated (the only player to do so!) while representing WP in the #1 position at a recent interprovincial tournament in Pretoria. It's been a pleasure to watch this player grow over the last few years and all of us at LoveAll are extremely proud of her. Well done!

What Separates Champions From ‘Almost Champions’? New research helps explain why some people keep going when others quit.

Congrats to all all pupils from LoveAll Tennis Academy who competed and showed some real guts this weekend at the WP mini 3! Special mentions to 8 year old Raadi Taliep (pictured on right) for finishing runner up in the U10 boys singles and winning the doubles. Well done to Imaad Taliep for winning the u12 doubles (all matches won in third set tiebreakers = mental toughness!) and to Leo and Seth Flisberg for reaching the doubles semi final in the u14 boys section. All in all a weekend of highly competitive tennis, great experience gained and the lessons we learned will be looked at starting already at squad this evening. At LoveAll, we love to compete and will keep striving to better oursleves and our abilities, as players and coaches!!

We've noticed an increase in your intensity at training over the last month and the result is clear. This is just the start of your exciting journey, well done champ!

a few of our LoveAll Academy pupils in action over the weekend at the WP Mini 1! well done to Natasha finishing 3rd, brothers Leo and Seth slugging it out in a tough play-off to earn 5th and 6th in their first tournament, Imaad Taliep finishing a very respectable 7th in a draw featuring 4 players in the top 10 in SA! And a special mention to the little legend Raadi Taliep, 8 years old, forced to compete in under 12 gold cup as no other under 10's entered.. loses 6-4 7-5 (had set points) to the eventual winner (the toughest match the champion played), and goes on to finish 4th beating boys nearly 4 years older than him.. well done to everyone.. lots of lessons learned and invaluable experience gained. looking forward to the next tournament already!! back to work today!
