Officially ITRA approved 🐍🏔️

This means our race is now recognised by the International Trail Running Association and officially listed on the global trail running calendar alongside recognised trail races around the world. 

For runners, this means:

• Official ITRA points for eligible finishers
• Internationally recognised race results
• Verified course evaluation and race statistics
• Inclusion in the ITRA National League system
• A globally recognised trail running profile and ranking

The ITRA National League is a worldwide initiative designed to support local trail races, grow competition within each country and create national rankings based on runners’ best ITRA performances across the season. 

This is a step forward for Cape Cobra, for South African trail running and for every runner who lines up on our start line.

After this, we move into the official Cobra recce runs.

At the previous meet-up, over 100 runners registered, but less than half arrived on the day. Unfortunately that meant others missed out on spots they would have used.

To help keep entries fair and committed, registration for this run is now R50, with all proceeds going directly to the .
