Demo at Hollywood Bets
Durbanville Racing Course ✅
DryJect South Africa recently had the opportunity to complete a demo at Hollywood Bets Durbanville Racing Course, showcasing how our system can be used on more than just golf greens.
Yes — we work on all natural turf surfaces.
DryJect is designed to help relieve compaction, improve drainage, and enhance overall rootzone performance across a wide range of natural turf applications, including race tracks, golf courses, bowling greens, sports turf, and more.
The profile sample shown in the post was taken before DryJect aeration, helping to illustrate the condition of the profile ahead of treatment and the type of turf challenges our system is designed to address.
This demo was another excellent example of how DryJect can support healthier, stronger, and more resilient natural turf with minimal disruption.
We would like to thank the team at Hollywood Bets Durbanville Racing Course for the opportunity and hospitality. We appreciate the chance to demonstrate what DryJect can do and look forward to future opportunities to work together.

Somerset West Golf Club ✅
DryJect South Africa recently completed a treatment at Somerset West Golf Club, where our main objective was to break through the compaction layer and improve movement through the soil profile.
We successfully reached approximately ±7 inches of depth, which can be clearly seen in the profile photos. The visible sand channel shows how DryJect penetrated through the compacted layer and placed sand directly into the rootzone.
This treatment helps support:
• Reduced soil compaction
• Improved drainage and infiltration
• Better oxygen movement through the rootzone
• Stronger, deeper root development
• Improved green performance and playability
• Minimal disruption compared to traditional aeration methods
A big thank you to the Somerset West Golf Club team for their hospitality and assistance throughout the process. It was a pleasure working on such a beautiful course, and we look forward to being back again in September.

Under the Surface with DryJect | Part 1: How DryJect Relieves Compaction
Soil compaction is one of the most common and damaging problems in turf management — yet it often starts below the surface, long before the signs are clearly visible above it.
When soil becomes compacted, the rootzone loses the space needed for air, water, and nutrients to move freely. As a result, roots struggle to develop properly, drainage slows down, and overall turf performance begins to decline.
That is where DryJect makes a real difference.
At DryJect South Africa, we provide a specialised aeration service that targets compaction directly. Using high-pressure water injection, DryJect fractures compacted soil and creates channels in the profile, which are then filled with dry sand directly into the rootzone.
This process helps open up the soil profile, improve oxygen exchange, support better water movement, and create a healthier environment for deeper, stronger root development.
Why relieving compaction matters:• Allows air, water, and nutrients to move more freely• Improves root development and turf strength• Helps improve drainage through the profile• Supports a firmer, healthier, more consistent surface• Reduces stress caused by tight, sealed soil conditions
DryJect is ideal for golf greens, bowling greens, sports turf, and other high-performance surfaces where compaction limits turf health and playability.
Strong turf starts with a healthier rootzone. And a healthier rootzone starts by relieving compaction.
DryJect South AfricaSpecialised aeration for stronger, healthier turf.

Introducing: Under the Surface with DryJect
We are excited to launch a new educational series from DryJect South Africa called Under the Surface with DryJect.
This series is designed to help golf courses, bowling clubs, and turf managers better understand what is happening below the surface — and why it matters so much to the health, strength, and playability of turf.
Over the next few posts, we will be covering topics such as:• What DryJect is• How DryJect works• Why compaction is a problem• The role of sand injection• The benefits of improved drainage and root development• Why DryJect is different from other aeration methods
Our goal is to share clear, useful information about specialised aeration and how it can support better-performing turf with minimal disruption.

🌱 DryJect South Africa – Villiersdorp Rolbalklub 🌱
Back in December, DryJect South Africa had the privilege of completing a DryJect treatment at Villiersdorp Rolbalklub. Now, almost two months later, the results speak for themselves — just look at this beautiful, healthy regrowth! 👀🌿
The improved soil aeration and enhanced water and nutrient movement have allowed the turf to recover strongly, promoting deeper roots and a denser, greener playing surface. This kind of regrowth highlights the long-term benefits of addressing soil compaction and root health the right way.
We would like to extend a big thank you to Villiersdorp Rolbalklub for hosting us and for the opportunity to be part of improving their greens. It’s always a pleasure working with clubs that are committed to quality playing surfaces and sustainable turf management.
We look forward to seeing the turf continue to strengthen and thrive in the months ahead. 💪🌱
