Saints of our Soil.

Stories that shape who we are deserve to be remembered.

For more than 125 years, St. Augustine Cricket Club has been woven into the fabric of Cape cricket. Since 1899, generations of players, coaches, administrators, volunteers and families have given selflessly so that others could experience the game they loved.

Cricket and Cape Society by Professor Francois Cleophas is not simply a history of our club. It is a scholarly exploration of Cape cricket through a broader social lens, one that reveals the deep and rich history of St. Augustine Cricket Club and its enduring contribution to cricket and community over more than a century.

Our sincere thanks to Professor Francois Cleophas for his years of meticulous research, to Stellenbosch University for supporting this important scholarship, and to South Peninsula High School for hosting such a memorable book launch.
